Dry overwatered soil

Hi, I over watered my soil some drained out the bottom. Is there a technique to drying the soil? Or is it just a waiting game.
 
Sound to me like you must have good drainage. This shouldn't cause a problem. A moisture meter, under $15.00 at many stores, would be a good investment for you. VV
