dry buds on live plants

I have clumps of dry buds on my live plants. I have been monitoring pretty consistenty for trichome change and still have very few that are amber, so I am holding off a full harvest.
I don't see any worms or other signs of infestation.
There was two nights about a week ago that got down to 28 degrees, so I suspect this is what happened. but the majority of the plant is fine.
Has anyone ever experienced something like this before?

if it freezes through, it's dead. buds are drying because the plant is dying.

i would be surprised if you had any leaves left...

yea, I am thinking that bits are dead, but I know most is not. It's been over a week since the freeze and they're still filling out and look/feel healthy.

I pull dead leaves every other day now, but there are still quite a few left.

must have an afghani breed :)

is it getting purple?

oh, and check trichs; most afghans mature a week after a frost...

It's aurora. is that afgani?
some leaves have turned a purplish.
yea, I have been checking trichs every other day. cloudy, but not amber.

I didn't take a pic, but just picture a nice full green bud with a dry brown area maybe about the size of a quarter in a few spots.

i'm not sure without looking, but i think it does have some afghan background...

most of my outdoor indicas have colored up, nice and dark. my afghani's go near black, buds and leaves (almost brown...)

well, I completely fucked up this diagnosis.

After taking a much closer look, I have pulled about 12 worms out of one plant. Can't see any sign in the others, but I am sure they're there or will be soon.
I gotta read up on this and see what my options are.

oh no! bud worms :(

i would go ahead and harvest before they can do more damage....
yea, I think that's my only option. I found at least 10 on one plant. I have 6 all right next to each other and I could not find any on any of the other plants. I have not taken the time to do a really super thorough check, I just don't have the time right now.

I think I will have to harvest the one clearly infested plant today or tomorrow though. I wonder if it could really be mostly isolated to one plant though.
