Dry and cure to get un-flattened buds

I'm approaching harvest in about two three weeks, about, and have been reading up on dry and cure.
Everything i read suggest laying buds on screen or in bags, or in jars.
I want my finished product to not be flattened after curing and to retain it's shape as much as possible.

question:
Do I hang whole plant, minus fan leaves, upside down, to dry, then clipp all buds from branches to dry on screen, then move to jars?

Will this make my buds flat from laying on their sides?

no, sealing the buds in vacuum sealed bags is what flattens the buds. usually dirt weed, don't often see nice products flattened out.

Just be careful how many you pack into the jars. Obviously the more in the jar , the better chance they have to crowd and flatten

Ok, i heard also just to stand the bigger nugs up in the jar and just put them in close, but not tight. To remove as much air as possible between the buds.

So, do i still have to put them in paper bags?
