Drum Roll Please… 24 Plant Grow Room in the Making. Open to all Advice

Hello fellow Rollitupers,

I have finally reached that long awaited moment in every cannoisseurs life where they will never NEED to pay for buds again!

I’m going all out with this one guys…. I’m looking a setting up a 24 plant grow 11flower, 11veg and 2 mamas. I have $1K for the set-up (maybe a li’l more ), but with the help of craigslist I don’t think it will be much of a problem.

Hopes:
I’d like to keep a 2 months cycle with 11 plants. Though I wonder if I’ll be able to keep up with the height of my plants after clipping the clones and letting them veg until the flower tent is ready? I’m reluctant, but open to 5 or 6 plants a month though… guess that will depend on my tent height restrictions. I’m really shooting for 2lb’s every 2 months or 1lb every month.

This will all be going down in roughly a 10x10x7.5 ft room.

The potential set up (everything is up for suggestions):
1 4x8x6.5 grow tent (for flowering)
2 600 watt HPS w digital ballast on a 6ft light rail
1 650 CFM Carbon filter
1 650 CFM In-line fan
For Veg:
1 ebb and flow 4X4
1 6 light florescent (suggestions needed for this veg light, might go MH)

As for my grow medium I will be doing a lot of experimenting with the quality and quantity of different nutes, mediums and additives.

I’ll post some pics up of the hydro unit I’ll be using… Built it myself and have grown some monster peppers in it But for now I have to run… picking up that 4x8x6.5 grow tent for $150

$1000 for the setup? You've already failed........... The tents and the light rails will probably go over that....... And if your new, dont be going and experimenting with everything, stick to your guns and dial everything in and when you've learned then start changing things up Most failures to pot growing come by either not knowing the basics or trying to be too creative or inventive.

I might just be a little overly ambitions sometimes, especially when it comes to plants. Though I did just pick up a 4x4x6.5 Grow Op tent for $150 and have rebuilt my shopping list about 5 times in the past week. Maybe start with 6 plants in this 4x4 and see where to go from there. I just want to make sure I get the right set up from the get-go… its not only a hobby set-up, but will be my office as well, as I will be working on my B.S. and beyond in Plant Sciences.

Thanks again Researchkitty. I listened to your advice and have kept it 1/2 scale. Everything is going good except for my coco Chem Dawg. I blame the coco! lol JK.
