Droopy Purple Sprout?

2 days since my babies hatched and they look like this...purple and would not hold their heads up  they are sitting in RRs surrounded by FF in solo cups under dome. Temp ~ 70F, humidity ~ 75%, two 23W CFLs on 18/6 since yesterday. What’s wrong?

looks like it tried to damp off, and may survive. rapid rooters hold way too much moisture to be buried completely. i'd let that dry out good, and water very lightly until they start to get a little bigger.

The membrane is stuck on the top and the leaves can't spread so it can't start growing properly

I take a razor blade and slit the membrane after 24 to 36 hours if it can't shed it on its own

don't cut the Leafs if you can't do it don't, maybe it will pull off or something ..and stop watering so much
-good luck!

* edit after 2 days I try to get it off, get a pair of tweezers and gently start working it off it might take you a few tries and half a day but I think you can get it, and put a little more soil around that whitish part on the stem once you get it off and I think you'll be okay but you need to get that membrane off, particularly after 2 days as you said, careful because we've all killed a plant or two doing this, so take it easy and if you can just slit the side or maybe work it off, consider giving it a try

I don't know why you took them out of the soil ? ..just stop watering it

Try to stop fooling around with them, pull the membrane off or at least try to loosen it and leave them alone will give you best result, guaranteed

I scuff the seed with a emory board and water with kelp to speed cell division for rapid germination. Plant deeper like 3/4 inch so the soil pulls off the membrane. Put solo cup on a reptile heating mat and add a humidity dome the first 48 hours. If surgery is required stabilize the stalk with a pen or something and remove membrane with tweezers. I stop at nothing when you pay 14 bux for each fem. bean.
