Plants are perky at sunrise ( or lights on ) and stay that way most of the day ( light cycle ) but they get "tired" after a day's work of growing so they droop slightly. THen they get to rest during the dark period and they perk up again in anticipation of the coming "morning' light.

ya u kno what i think it was from running 20 hour lights, so its down to 18 i was just doing some tests and the i noticed droopin every last 3 hours so i recommend unless u like to c plants droop just keep er to 18 n the growth difference of 2 hours more light is kitty change.!

Plants dont sleep and how come no one is asking what the temps are or how close the light is or how often watering is being done, PH reading?? Sounds like a temp related stress to me, could be too cold or too hot. It is normal for plants to droop sometimes but not every morning. Darkness has nothing to do with drooping, if ventilation is proper. When I open up my room and turn on the lights my plants are still reaching for the sky as if the lights never went out. Check your PH if it's not temp related.
Good question shnazul, you might have been of some help had your question been answered but instead you have all this clutter with sleeping and resting plants and too much light LOL Are you guys serious? How can you tell him to do what you're doing if his grow environment is not exactly like yours? Keep studying and let the pros teach... please.
