Driver/ Led Build wont power on! Help!

Hey, guys. I could use some help!

Been over a day and I cant turn on my build

I tried changing connectors, i tried cutting the wire and soldering, and nothing seems to get this HLG 480 C2100B on. I have 4 288.2s hooked up and the driver refuses to power on.

I had to cut the power cord up to seperate it into 3 parts, based on the thick plastic coating i had to tear off it was impossible not to get a couple threads with it. So each wire may be missing a couple threads. Not sure if this matters. Figured out the negative wire based on some writing on the cord. All wires were black except the green.

Is this a problem with my cord? It's 15 amps and 18 gauge, 120volts but universal. What am I doing wrong here?

There is no negative on the AC power to a driver. For a 120vac power cord in the US, black it hot, white is neutral and green is ground. Can you post pictures? How do you know the driver is not working and that the problem is not on the DC side connected to the boards?

It could be. Let me take some pictures for you.
And you are correct. I meant neutral, not negative.

I think you are ok with the power cord. Try reversing the wires to the dimmer. If that doesn't work, try disconnecting it. I can't quite make out the polarity designations on the boards, so just make sure that positive from the driver connects to positive on the board, and that connections between boards are pos to neg. Then make sure there is power at the outlet you plugged into. ;)

Can't believe the dimmer was the problem.

Looking at your photos, it seems that the potted dimmer from Rapidled has polarized outputs reversed. I ran into this when I built my Vero arrays years ago. Happened to stumble across the solution by accident. Looks like it should rock.
