Dripping systems

I'd honestly go with an Ebb & flow, easier to maintain less problems. Couple of my close friends used that system for awhile and were constantly running into problems with the drip tubes getting clogged. (among other things) They finished their last harvest and never looked back. Just my .02 cents, maybe if you invested into a more expensive one you'd run into less problems? This is just from my experience, feel free to correct me anyone. Always looking for positive cretinism to become better at cultivating. Needless to say, I love my ebb and flow and have yet to ever run into a problem.

How many plants do you want to run? The site you indicated has the components to do a small drip system. If you are new to this stuff, start with only one or two plants. The learning experience can be painful so you want to minimize your loses. If successful, you can expand easily.

Good luck finding a system you don't need to fill up or "tamper with" once every 1-2 weeks.
You're going to need a separate water res to fill up your nute res (auto pots may help there), and I'm not sure about checking ph/ppm/ec once a week or longer...
It's not just a different system you need to achieve this, you need a different working practice.
Do-able though...and you're sure to have fun getting there! ;)

I made one out of drippers from lowes a pump and a digital timer. I am at that grow only once a week to feed my plants then they get watered 3 days later, I'm in promix so I don't worry about the ph swinging. I use 2 gal per hour drippers and set the timer for 30 min. Three days after I feed them the timer goes on and waters my plants. The whole set up was about $60 and you could do it for two weeks but I would use water and add dry nutes to the soil mix so you won't need to feed it. I also added a $100 cam so I can monitor temps and plants from wherever I am..

Take a look at Tropf Blumat (not the jr, I understand). I'm considering buying a system for the future and have heard very good things about its efficacy and reliability.
