DR80, 400w HPS, Snow White & More!

They're 15 days above ground and 4 days since I topped them, what you reckon?

Sorry no update in a while, repotted them into 10L pots, one had a Mag deficiency cos the Miracle Grow starter soil doesnt include it as a micronutrient (go figure) but its coming back and one of them has female preflowers already. They're growing extremely dense nodes at this point, cant wait to flower these... maybe 2-3 weeks and then Ill think about it. Will throw up some pictures soon.

Alright Harrekin, nice setup you got yourself there, Id also def go for the cooltube in a tent like that, otherwise when the plants are big, your temperatures will be mental. What you growing them in? Is it just the photo, or are they lookin a little on the yellow side? Just compared to your avatar pic, say. Nice pic btw , is that yours?

The temps are still pretty low, rocking heat matts in there to try heat it up! They were a bit yellow before but they've really greened up now, that Miracle Grow seed starter soil I started them with is muck, only since I transplanted into the All-Mix soil have they really gone the "proper" green...the most recent pic just looks yellow cos of HPS tho.

The pic in my avatar is a Lowberry (dodgy non-autoflowering "autoflower" cross between LR2 and Blueberry), was beautiful, but the spider mites got it in the end just a week or two after I induced flowering...didnt know how to deal with them then, it was all webbed up and I just said fuck that!

Im hoping for like 12 zips outta these in the end, I know its a pretty ambitious target, but with the topping/LST combo Ill be starting soon I think its reachable. (Yopped to give 4 colas then when they grow a bit Ill LST them to the corners, wait a few days then flower, really good penetration cos of its low profile)

Just a little update, still vegging, starting to smell tho and it smells good! Gonna flip them soon, just waiting for the Zensations to catch up, you'll see they're the smaller untopped but still LST'd ones.

K i wanna say both Harrekin and BigBuds have great setups in the Dr80 and im quite jealous! haha. I have a DR80 as well but an oversized cooltube!! too long to fit horizontal (if i wanted it attached to any ducting) so i had to go vertical and i'm not happy with how it turned out. My next grow i want to try and copy BigBuds design layout which means i may have to buy a smaller cooltube. Do you mind asking where you got yours BigBuds?

Also Harrekin how is the heat in your tent? I noticed you have a filter and intake fan but nothing attached to light for cooling. Any issues at all? As a last resort I may have to switch to a small reflector with no cooling to light eek heh

I actually just adjusted the light cycle to 20/4 to try keep the tent warmer cos the room Im growing in is SERIOUSLY cold with all the ice and snow recently...my tent got to 0.4c apparently with the light off.

damn that is cold!! i guess you wouldn't have a problem then with your light being to hot haha. do you have to keep the light farther away from the plants?

Id say its just over a foot away from them, maybe 16 inches purely for coverage, any lower and plants on the edge are slightly shaded...was thinking about getting a 400w MH and hanging them side by side, full spectrum jobby. If needs be Ill buy two cooltubes and link them with ducting and a high powered fan to cool both.

Hello everyone , great thread just thought i could share my grow if thats ok, this is my second grow cfl only 2- 300 watt red spec cfls, At the moment from day one of germinating seeds, i have 3 maxigom autos going on day 64 a bit slow , 3 speeddevil for sweetseeds at day 59 funny thing about them the SD all 3 look different i guess its what they call unstable strain or phenotypes just a heads up to anyone looking at buying them , all looking good but one seems to have the better genes it has more trics since day 45 and more milky looks like it will be the first to mature. i also have some younger strains 2 fast bud from sweetseeds at day 34 and 1 big devil day 33 from sweetseeds. Also to new growers who want auto seeds sweetseeds has a pretty good deal where u get 3 diff autos 2 seeds of each total 6 seeds for 45 euros. last grow even with many fuks ups the speeddevil yielded 30 grams dry but this time and roadrunner 45 grams dry. Last pic is the roadrunner close to cut date.

Get those CFL's closer man! Dont hang them perfectly horizontally if needs be, and ALWAYS LST when using those lights...if you get the bulb REAL close you'll get some hardcore tight buds.

i agree buts its a bit hard to get 2 300 watts close to 9 plants since some are 70 cm and the others are 45cm 50cm and i have 3 new ones coming up that are 30 to 40 cm , im waiting for 3 to stop growing in the next 6 days and then i will be able to cover the edges of the grow tent with the tall ones and keep the short ones in the middle and place the bulbs more in the center. thanks for the advice hope my plan works this is my second grow.

wow another great setup in the DR80!! Thats it vertical is killing me with room I gotta switch to horizantal somehow and put at least 3 plants in!!

I wanted to go much wider but Im limited by vertical space...pity they dont do one thats like 120x120x160!

Another pic update, they need a feeding soon, starting to go a tiny bit lime green, been wary with the food cos transplanted them a couple weeks ago into fresh Biobizz soil.
