Dr.Chronic seeds Not accepting credit cards?

Is it true? I've mail them asking about the payment but this was the response I got
"Hi is am sorry we do not accept credit card at all

With all the problems they've had I don't even know why you'd place an order with them, especially if you are in the US. They probably did you a favor not taking your order, go with someone with a record of delivering.

if you prehaps bought the gift equaling the total of your seeds. You will get an email from them. Now placed order.
and as along as it's legal where it's going customs should not be any trouble.

they posted more info on there site now and since they wont be takeing any credit cards if u send a money order u get 10% of so shipping os covered and u get some free seeds .....check it out ........2 bad though i just got my seed s i made it cause i paid with a card but not no more

They may have done this to prevent chargebacks on orders that were not received.

Now that sounds like a good explanation, now they can say they never received the cash. I wish people would start ordering from reliable places instead.

Yeah, for once I think I said something smart!

Or another thing maybe there site was vulnerable to SQL which puts a major security breach on peoples information such as where they live or credit cards.

Another thing comes to mind is maybe lets JUST SAY the feds are trying to contact the host of the site to get into there database to see if they can find any growers but maybe they say no more credit cards and deleted there databases to tamper with evidence.

But I remember over the summer pretty much everybody who did not get there seeds did a chargeback and for a while Dr. Chronic stopped shipping to the USA.

Also it is easier to say a money order got lost in the mail than it is for a credit card payment to be sent because once the money order is cashed you can not get a refund.

i ordered from the doctor about a month ago and got my product in less than a week. thats from the uk to the midwest us. i used a credit card and had no issues with billing or anything!

That's good for you , but what about the people that don't ? Why would you even take a chance when there are far more reliable places to order from ? What about the people that read your post and think everything is good and then don't get their order ?

I just read about a couple people who got their order and placed a second one and only got half. Only getting half certainly isn't the postal services or customs fault.

With the half part, Dr. Chronic is almost using psychology on the customers think about this.....

If he says well I shipped out one half of your order and if you did not get the other half then I can not do anything.

Then people will say well if he shipped out the first half he must have sent out the second half.

If you all know what I mean.

I agree with you on what is going on, I just hate seeing people keep defending them as a good source. It leads people into buying from him when they should go elsewhere and not have any problems.

If they were getting chargebacks, then maybe they got tired of bearing the financial lose for custom/postal theft. After all, they're business is 100% legit as far as the UK is concerned.

Also Dr. Chronic is bad, you should have read some of the threads during the summer about how bad he was. Besides I used to buy from him and right around the time he was scamming US growers is when I placed my order and I got bunk seeds.

Then also around that time he stopped shipping to the US. I mean what will we do report them to the police?
