Thank you for this great thread! I eagerly anticipate your next update!!

I myself am a med user in NV and have been fortunate enough to have a steady supply of the Erk from a dealer, however, I am starting my own grow soon and will be trying like all heck to find some Erk clones for my garden.

Very very nice grow log!

They've got little buds on them!
It's getting real now. I'm excited! It smells so nice in there! PH is stable now. I'm using %50 of Advanced Nutrients recommended strength for Connoisseur flowering and moderate feeding. I'll probably scale up to heavy feeding next week. Presently, my EC is around 1.6, and PH is stable at 5.6. I'm going to pick up a more powerful oscillating fan for the space tonight. The canopy is so tight that the leaves are touching and there's some wetness where they make contact. No problem so far, but I want to prevent mold from forming, and strengthen my stems up in the process.

These pictures were taken yesterday, day nine of flowering.

Enjoy the loli bud pron.

Hey Tom,

These days, I'm using Connoisseur by Advanced Nutrients for my bloom phase flowering nutes. I have everything in the connoisseur feeding schedule, except for the baracade, which is just silica, and I thought I could do without.

If you go to Hydroponics | Advanced Nutrients | Hydroponic Gardening and go to the nutrient calculator:
I'm using the Connoisseur moderate/heavy feeding schedule, %100 strength on the Connoisseur (around 100ML for my 10gallon system) and %50 strength on everything else(half of listed value).
If anyone asks, I will post a full list of everything(in ml)that I have put in. I would have posted it already, but didn't bother because I didn't know if it'd be useful to anyone. I also have a daily EC/PH chart that I've been keeping since I started. In case anyone is interested.

Here's some pics of the space from this morning. The first one is the frame for the new bookshelf. We're upgrading to a pivot hinge shelf, since moving the old one on casters was a PITA.

hey d03zr,

nice looking plants you've got there. I've got a similar size space and love how your topping turned out. At what height did you top? What height did you top the second time? What height are they now?

Are you tying any of the branches off right now?

Did you have any males at all? How did you score that? :)

What are your reservoir temps holding at?

Nice work. Anxiously awaiting your response.

Topping:
I topped when they were between six and eight inches tall if I remember correctly. It's all documented in this journal. Basically, when the tops started looking like tops and reaching for the sky, I gave them the snip.

Tying down:
No. I actually cant even get in the space anymore to look at the plants in back. I'm locked in until harvest, unless something crazy happens and forces my hand. I mention this because, at this point, I couldn't tie them down If I wanted to.

Males:
AFAIK, Grand daddy purple erkel and purple erkel are clones only strains. That means there are no seeds and no males. The only way to create offspring is to hybridize with a male from another strain, or to take clones from a mother plant. I got my clones at a medical marijuana cooperative here in southern california.

Reservoir temperature:
I keep my growing space at around 75-80F. The reservoir is in the space, so solution temperature is the same.

I'd agree with you there. Silica mostly just makes the plant physically stronger. I think it boosts the immune system a bit too but mostly it just makes stalks, stems, etc all tougher.

But it also does well as a pH Up (pretty sure it's up, not down). I've heard from a lot of people that they'll use Barricade instead of pH Up, since it kills two birds with one stone.

I never knew that about the PH up thing. If that's true I'm all over it!

Barracade, here I come!

Everything is going according to plan! I had to re-design the bookshelf. It was too difficult to move to access things. The new shelf is framed to the wall, and hinged with a heavy duty center hung pivot hinge. This swings easily, and pleases me greatly!

Things are getting hot and heavy in the growroom! There's buds EVERYWHERE in there. By the time they're ready to cut down, the entire space will be unpassable jungle. I'm going to need a machete to get in there to harvest! This also pleases me greatly!

Enjoy the pictures mateys.:blsmoke:

hay Doz you have one hell of a grow there you should be proud! Is this really your first hydro grow? My first shot at hydro was full of problems and mess ups you've learned really fast. Looking at your grow the scorg method would have been perfect for you. I grow a sativa strain that is very similar to yours that douse grate in a scorg. The screen keeps the buds up as well as allowing you to spread the growth out like you did. you may need to find a way to support those buds as they start to fatten up or branches will start to brake on you. Happened to me on my first hydro grow and your plant look better than mine did. Just a heads up. I cant wait to see the rest of your grow.

Thanks man!

I think the stems should be okay. I've had an oscillating fan in there since day one, gently wiggling the plants all day and all night. They're fatties. If they do start to weigh themselves down and break, I'm screwed! I dont think there will be anything I can do about it, as I'm physically unable to access the rear of the space at this time.

Think happy thoughts mates. Happy thoughts.

Your right bro. Those stems are going to hold up massive buds. In fact I can hear them getting stronger from here. Your going to have a massive yield! I cant wait to see the finished product! Awesome grow.

Everything's happy as can be.

Little PH problem over the weekend. I think I slacked a little too much on the anti-algae bacteria. PH started climbing, and reached 6.5 at one point. I added some Biocat and PH-down'ed the living daylights out of it(I think I used something like 16ml of PH down this weekend. :-?). I checked it this morning before the lights came on(I know i'm not supposed to look, but the lights were coming on in 30 mins, and with the bookshelf, and the door, it's still really dark when open.), and it looks like the plants never skipped a beat. It's a good thing I'm so anal about checking the PH constantly.

Pictures from today(in the dark).
I'll try my hand at some macro shots later tonight.
