It's not the heatsink side you should worry about, the light is like a fucking laser up close.

Our rigs ran 3 cobs on a 240W driver, so 80W each. the heatsink side was in the low 40Cs

I'm going to keep on repeating this, COBs are not safe to use in flammable tents. The light beam close to the COB is so intense it sets things on fire.

For a 4x4 like yours, I'd at a minimum use 480W, preferably 600 or 640 if you go for 2x320W drivers. (the 600 is more efficient and can dim to 0%)
4x4 feets? Sorry i ask but here we have the metric system.
