I know everyone says as a rule of thumb, two 1000 watt lights won't raise an eyebrow with electric usage.
My question is what if a house uses mostly gas, so the electric bill normally runs very low (about 3 or 400kw a month.)
The KW usage is almost always consistent with last years usage at the same time.
Would it not look abnormal for the bill to all of a sudden jump to 8 or 900kw a month from last years comparison of 400kw? My bill has almost always been consistent with last years comparison month.
I'd like to hear from fellow gas users or someone that works for an electric company. Or anyone else of course lawl.
The company might think the meter needs recalibrating or throw some questions out there, maybe flag the bill I don't know.
P.S. For any cops reading, I'm running some electric heaters this winter to save on gas and I don't want any of u assholes mistaking me for a pot grower and raiding me in the middle of the night like a bunch of nazis, thanks.
