Double jacket vs single jacket cmh

So I’ve been looking for a cmh for a while now, I want around 1200 ppf for my needs. Narrowed it down to a few.

I just wanna know if anyone with experience can tell me if they still need to be double jacketed, I see adjust a wings make the helion de 630w cmh, their lamp is single jacketed. I remember when these first started being used widely there were a lot of failures so people would only use the double jacketed bulbs like the Phillips master colour.

is this still the norm? or has the technology advanced sufficiently that these lamps don’t fail anymore?

Well, I just looked up that helion de 630 CMH bulb and it says it's double jacketed, as are all of them to my knowledge.

I would double check with the manufacturer. I just checked the first google result that came up, which said double jacketed- https://www.discountedhydroponics.com/products/hellion-de-cmh-630w-lamp-type-o-3k-or-4k

It could just be one or the other is using old info. I've found the Illuminar 630 DE bulbs to be good quality, but if you are in the UK you might not have access to them. CMH DE never really took off like the 315s did.
