No fuck that! Im not saying your off on your estimate, i thought your estimate was based on your idea that i could fit a single 400w in this cab only. So you say a qp a month, id be more than orgasmed to get that, cool.

keep the estimates coming pros, estimates is music to my ears.

(thought the cool tubes were a given. yeah without cool tubes itd be a fucking sauna)

You mentioned that you want to be stealth , in your new apartment, once you get past the heat problems there is going to be the smell problem, better think about a filter .

Ok... Ill take a stab

If you're harvesting 9 plants every two weeks and I don't think its realistic to hit 1 ounce per plant with a 400w, maybe could do it with a 600w though. If you use aero or hydro it could help with root temps (might need chiller for water as well). Carbon filters are a must, and you should think about CO2 if you're trying to max out your yield.

I'd say as you have described you could do 9 plant at .6 ounce per plant, twice a month so (9 x .6) x 2 = 10.8 ounces per month.

With CO2 and a good aero or ebb and flow setup then sure 1 ounce per plant maybe even 1.5 with the 600w also. Strain dependent of course.

i am working on hitting an O per plant out of my grow... but i use ScrOG for my micro cab... i have three ScrOG racks in mine under 600 watts.

when i had a real grow room i ran a SOG, so i am a BIG fan of that method but i think the ScrOG is MUCH better in these teeny spaces.

i am still dialing things in and increasing efficiency but it is looking like i will be able to harvest at least 2 ounces if not 4 every month out of my space... it is about a third of what you have.

shortly i will be getting a cab similar to yours but a little larger and i will continue to run ScrOG's out of it.

just food for thought.

good luck!

I'm going to be doing a grow in a utility cab just like that this fall, but mine is pretty much budgetless, so I'm going all out.

Fuck the s.o.g. and go vertical.

Check out these GroWall units that Malachi has used with great success.

I plan on putting in a vertical cooltube pumping straight in and out of the cabinet, an air conditioner (havnt decided if thermoelectric is worth the money, if its thermoelectric it will be a sealed container, if using compressor based a/c i'll hafta use my carbon filter from my last grow.), growtronix control system, co2 and maybe a couple uv-b bulbs runnign down the inside of the doors. Fullmetaljackets growcab was my inspiration, but I have decided to take it a different direction.

Lemme know what you think. I figure if I have 5 panels of 24, i can alternate every other netpot to give some breathing space, which would give me 60 lil lollipop plants.

Sorry for the bad quality paint rendition, I have to scale blueprints with part numbers, but i dont have a scanner ready at the moment.

I was considering the same.. verticle that is. I love the idea of maxing out the potential of a light. And verticle is the way to go to aim for the max target. I like were your going with your drawing but i dont get all the holes on the top portion. If i went verticle id put the light dead center of the cab and design pot holders that run up the entire length so there would be pots top to bottom on either side. How sick would that look!!!

Thanks for the estimates. Im not sure how a 600w could pull more from a plant when 400wers have a 4 by 4 radius and the most mine would be stretching is 3... But idk, im on the newby side of things so maby the higher intensity of the 600wer just brings in more weight? .6 per plant would still be amazing. Id be one happy mofo with 10 zips a month.

Im kind of thinking about just going with a dresser though, seeing as idk how im going to go about cutting the metal. I just know its going to be a costly bitch. Any ideas welcome but idk. I could get a dresser done in a day, and spare funs, which i dont really have, and just run one light.

Thanks all, your giving my growing intuition mad power.:blsmoke::peace:

Haha yeah man, I know what you mean about cutting metal, it might be more stealth for me too to just go buy a deep armoire, and do the same, might fatmat the entire inner area and damper the fans to help too.

My bad about those holes, those werent meant to show that i would be growing a plant in every other pot, so that they have more breathing room and somemore room to grow upwards as well.

My only beef with an armoire, is how to lock it. I was thinking maybe get one of those hidden magnet locks, to open it up? You got any ideas?

btw i thought through the placement of the cooltube, and i think it would be best placed closest to the door, to maintain a little bit of distance between it and the plants. The cool tube is 6-8 inches wide, and the growwalls are 4 inches wide, and most cabinets are 24 or less inches deep. that only leaves a foot or less of space between roots of your plants and the cooltube. I wouldnt want any less than that, so i ruled it out in earlier designs.
