Started Grow in Jan. Hello ppl, this is my first grow and I am excited and nervous. I have some BigBud seeds and Im ready to start my adventure. 01/17/07 I have placed 7 seeds in distilled water for a 12 hour soaking in 80 degree distilled water and then placed them in wet paper towels. They are in a dark place on a heating pad to keep the temp at 80. 72 hours have passed and 6 of the 7 seeds have germinated. I have placed the 6 newborns in a 16 oz. cup filled with scotts soil. I used a utility knife and cut slits on the lower sides of the cup, in case they got to much water it would have some way of draining out. My lighting for the seedlings is 4ft T12 florescent u know like the ones you see in garages.(thats wear mine was) They are 40 watt bulbs one soft white and one Grow Lux I am running my lighting 16/8 and started it as soon as the newborns were in the soil. I am keeping the lights 2" above the cups I also placed Saran wrap over the cup with a rubber
band for 3 days to help them from drying out. I am using a spray bottle filled with distilled
water to water them with. A few sprays each day seems to be enough. They all have poked threw the soil and are reaching for the light (aah they are so cute) I will be posting quit frequently with pics to show my progress.

Hey good luck man... are you already done? you should make a very nice thread on this then :) you said its the second week today and the date you put there says 01/31/07 :P Post in bulk if ur done i want to see them :)

02/07/07 Third week plants are not growing much. I have just transplanted them in to bigger pots.
The dirt seemed very dry I dont think I was giving them enough water. New container is 2.25 gal
the bottom 2 inches are filled with clay grow rocks to help with drainage. Then filled with Scotts
potting soil. I have also moved them to my grow box wich is 34" x 42" x 60" H My lighting is 18/6
with a 400 watt HM Im hopeing with the new light and the increased H2O they will grow a little
better. I was watering a little water everyday but have changed to a good soaking every 4th day
See how my babies like that, I might start nutes next week will see how it goes.

02/14/07 Fourth week plants are growing a little faster. As you can see in the pic they have
doubled in size. They really love the 400 watt HM light and my new watering schedule. I am
going to give them some MiracleGrow at 1/4 strength for the first time. I will be using FoxFarm
Tiger bloom when I switch to flowering. I have also decided to top 3 of the 6 plants. That way
I can decide for future grows wether to top or not.

Week 5
02/21/07 Fifth week plants are still doing good. I have seen no problems and there growth still
seems good. I have been feeding them Miracle Grow until I switch to flowering then I will switch
to Tiger Bloom. The 3 plants I have topped on 2/15/07 are doing fine, it only slowed there growth
a little bit. The toped plants are 9 inches high and the un toped plants are 11 inches high. I might
switch to flowering next week Im not sure. I want to hold off until 7 weeks but because of my growbox
Im worried I will run out of room. The leafs from each plant are starting to overlap each other.

Grow Box size 34" x 42" x 60" H

Every thing is still running smooth no problems as of yet. I am still worried about the amount of room
I have so I switched to flowering on day 40 of vegg. I have switched to the HPS bulb and went to
12/12 lighting. The 3 un topped ones are 14" h and the toped ones are 11" h If I would have toped
them all I could of waited to week 7 like I wanted. Thats a plus for topping when you have a height
limit. I gave them a good drink of plain water before I switch them to TigerBloom. So now I wait, I
would like 4 girls 2 toped and 2 un toped that would be the best. Have to wait and see.

Everything still going good, I owe a lot of it to this sight and the people who share there experience
with us, a big thumps up from me to you. I am in to my 9th day of flowering and we have 3 confirmed
girls, 1 boy and 2 un known. Im very stoked, if I get one more girl that would be excellenta

I am in to week 8 and everyone is looking good. I have 4 girles out of 6 plants, life is good. The 3 plants
I topped are all girles and 1 I didnt top is a girl. I have been giving them tiger bloom at full strength and
plain water every 5th watering. There has been no sign of nute burn, in fact I have had no problems.
Doing my research and finding this sight is paying off (in bud)
The pick below my girles are a little droopy from needing water. They perk right up after a few hours after watering.
A plant will recover from under watering a lot faster then being over watered. I dont make a habbit of letting them getting to dry.

All the girls are doing good, they are still growing taller and my light is as high as it will go. Ppl on
this sight say they stop growing taller after there 4th week of flowering I hope so. My tallest girl the
untoped one is over 30" tall and only 10" from my light.

In my pic you can start seing the bud showing.

Every thing seems to be OK they have stoped getting taller and the buds seem to be getting bigger.
My tallest one has shown some signs of heat stress from being so close to the light. I have fans
blowing on her and have lowered the temp to below 80 degrees. I hope it dont affect the cola it
has the possability of being a nice one 12" long.

No problems and really not much to talk about. My tallest plant is showing a little heat stress on the
top leafs but nothing to panic over. I think the buds are getting bigger but its really hard to tell. I guess
I will have to wait and see what happens.

I have had a little trouble, my tallest plant the un toped one is showing some leaf burn from being so
close to my light. It has a 14" cola but the buds on top are suffering from being to close to the light.
