I've seen some posts lately that say, "Are they female, +Rep for the help."

It's like some people think the regulars here at RIU get a woody when we get a +Rep. I could care less about a +Rep and I'm sure the other veterans feel the same way!

We are all here to help because growing weed is our passion, not because we will get a +Rep.

So, take that +Rep, put in your bowl, smoke it, mature a little, and then come back and ask for some help that we will gladly give. Booyaa!!
 
lol. Very good point. I agree most of us are here because we love to grow, while the rest are here to learn to grow. Not that I'm passed the learning part, but I'm here because this is what I love to do. It's what I plan on doing for the rest of my life. Whether I will always have people to grow for in the future is a big mystery, but at heart, I'm a giver.
I'm a caregiver, It's my job to care:D
 
I don't really see any problem with promising +rep for good advice, if it is in fact good advice. I am not a rep whore and would be just as happy if it had never been invented or if I never received any. What does make me chuckle though is people who will promise it but do not know how to send it and only say thanks +rep in a message and the person who gave help never receives the +rep. I can see where that might upset the rep whores who trip over each other for a chance to give advice in hopes of building their rep.
 
It's not like anyone respects people with higher reps anyway. Anyone can sit on here all day and reply to "What light should I get?" threads and get Rep.

That's true. I do not ask for reputation but when I recieve it without someone saying it, it is more special then being told. Like the suprises.
