no, they are talking about changing the genes so the plant would flower with 18/6 light schedule, for example. they are changing the clocks inside of the plants, instead of changing the lights to suit the clock.

Isn't that going to just add to the cost of growing inside??
Having to stay at 18/6 instead of going to 12/12...

that was just an example. theoretically, you could change it to something like 6/18 if you want
