your right on ec is the way to go. and ph cant live without it dont even grow unless you have a ph testerHarlesjohn Do you have both pH and EC testing instruments? That is a good start to determining what quantities to add to your water. Manufacturers' instructions can sometimes be misleading and can end up in all sorts of bother. Best to get you EC and pH meters then folks might then tell you to raise your ppm by this much or that much to do this and that as oppose to ml/l waffle. just a suggestion
great info i will get those tools asap. as for ph i have this white tablet that you drop in the water and it brings the ph to just under 7 and treats up to 50 gal. but i am still going to get those toolsHarlesjohn Do you have both pH and EC testing instruments? Well, I do not know what those tablets are that you speak of. But what I do know is, if I pH balance my reservoir, then add nutrients to that balanced water, I will almost certainly have a resultant pH which was not the same as after I initially balanced the water. Unless that pill is some how intelligent, I don't see how it will help when you engineer nutrient fixes with different additives in your reservoir and your pH is 9.87 for example.great info i will get those tools asap. as for ph i have this white tablet that you drop in the water and it brings the ph to just under 7 and treats up to 50 gal. but i am still going to get those tools
