pizza is hard to resist for me too. i make my own dough and we love baby clams with tomatoes and fresh basil.
If I eat my fill, I don't need any more calories for about ten years.

Gimme a good Chinese stir-fry that fills me up. I've been doing my own now for a loooong time.

Funny you mention clams. I'm headed to the coast this weekend. Super low tides. The family and extended family will be camping over there. 12 of us. Mussels, and clams. I'm planning a couple of stir fries. One will be pasta with mussels with Thai basil leaves in a miso-butter sauce. Vegetable stir fry for another. The clams are a species of cockles that can get up to the size of a softball, almost 4 ounces per cockle for the big ones. Half that for the smaller ones. Ceviche with cockle - mango salsa - lime juice. Roll it up rice vermicelli noodles and the ceviche in a rice paper wrap. Thai dipping sauce.

Finish the meal with a torte purchased from a local bakery. Sit around the fire and tell lies. Eat raw oysters and drink beer.

Of course, rain is in the forecast so it will all be under tarp-canopy but that's the way it is in Oregon.

we went out to ocean shores wa for spring break a month or so ago.

got to try razor clams for the first time. holy crap! they were awesome. we picked up 2 lbs of them and fried them up back at the condo. man, they were so sweet and so delicious. nothing like the clams i was used to on the east coast.
and we were in seattle/ ocean shores for a week and only had 3 hours of rain for one nite. that in itself was amazing!! lol.

Dude.

PM me if you are ever in the area.

Winchester Bay, Triangle oysters. I've heard there are better but never had one that beat them.

I can honestly say one CAN eat too many raw oysters. burp

I've never gotten the knack for catching razor clams but I sure do love me some.

eat chinese food, be hungry again in one hour-- Confused-such
Yeah but this little Chinese place my wife and I eat at every other weekend or so is top notch. He used to have 3 places and now he's down to one. He's been around since 87 or so. He's semi retired and he and his wife run the place with 4 or so waiters and a couple cooks and a dishwasher. His prices lately have went up. He walks around and talks to everyone. Great guy. We've started going in 91. His customers are mostly regulars like us. I hope I die before him. I'd miss it. Then just down the road this little seafood place that has flown in seafood is amazing. Can't go in the evening. 2 hour wait. Lunch is when we go. In fact next Saturday my daughter and her husband are taking us out there for late mother's day. She's a nurse so she had to work last weekend. I'll probably have the cod sandwich platter. Last time I had stuffed grouper. I'm in Appalachia where people think red lobster has good food!

Yeah I made myself hungry too.

I just realized I have some left over clam chowder that I made from cockles that I caught a couple of days ago. Time to heat that up and toast some bread. smear it with butter and garlic. Salad on the side.

I suck. LOL
