“Size of the market for counterfeit products from China
The global counterfeit trade for all items, from purses to electronics to software, is worth USD461 billion, about 2.5% of all trade worldwide. That is more than the global drug trade. Despite attempts regulation, international trade in counterfeit goods has almost doubled since 2008.

According to the 2018 Global Brand Counterfeiting Report, worldwide losses suffered due to counterfeiting amounted to USD 323 billion in 2017, with handbag companies alone accounting for $20 billion of that.

80% of the world’s counterfeit goods come from China, and many of the market’s consumers are in China as well.”

And Trump probably isn’t even one of the 1%. Just another greedy bastard who inherited too much and had too many lines of credit.
Hope the credit runs out soon, really do.

Not exactly. There’s factories there putting out nothing but counterfeit. Not licensed at all.
I understand that, yes absolutely. Always gonna be counterfeit while there's money to be made.

The sheer scale in mass producing products the factories have though, they can charge only pennies an item, and still make huge profit margins. After x amount of years design patents are expired and the same factories making products like the tent i bought, can stick their own labels on and sell it as their own. That's what's happening with most products in Australia tbh, i'd be hard pressed to find fake products at a store. I'd have to try a $2 store, or the local markets. Some tobacconists sell fake Winfields too, but really it's pretty hard to get away with it here.
Not saying it doesn't happen here, because it does, but i'm not sure it's as common.

One item line where China makes absolute crap is replacement motorcycle parts. Their metal quality is shit.
They ruined Australia's steel and car industry, really it was government selling us out, but it was China putting the pressure on.

Watched an episode of Four Corners about it, and just 1 smelter in China was producing as much steel in one day, as Australia's whole steel industry was in a year.

You're right too, the quality is absolutely shithouse, so much softer.

Try welding a lot of feet of some of their crappier steel. Talk about junk.

There is 3 manufacturers of railroad retarders.
They all use the same parts. A Chinese company came in and undercut everyone for the parts. Now all railroad retarders are built with Chinese steel.

Btw retarders in railroad jargon are specially built sections of track that are used to slow and stop individual box cars in a yard.

Not to nit-pick, but it isn't the hardness levels, its the inclusions and lack of consistency. Making shit steel has a long history in China.

Like all steel products.
You are free to return any material that doesn't meet spec.

Bad castings ate usually found after you machine it. So you will get your money back for the casting. But not the time you put into making it.

And getting someone else to make a casting for you is a 6 month minimum wait

“Rare earths were among the few items excluded from US plans to put tariffs on almost all of China’s remaining exports to the United States, highlighting their strategic importance.

China accounts for 90 per cent of global production, but the government manages mining levels and it was reported last year that amid production quotas, the country became a net importer of rare earths last year.”

Rare earth minerals. Guess where the next largest lode is? Afghanistan. In case you wonder why Trump is paying all expenses for the Taliban for the “peace negotiations”. Guess who has a direct route or three to Afghanistan? Not us!

Will the mining companies pay the US taxpayer back for the kind use of our military?

Methinks not.

It’s against Afghanistan national law for foreign corporations to do business in Afghanistan. However with an Afghan partner everything is good. This per a new law that took years to get into place. Immediately after it was enacted we learn of a partnership going for gold. Literally. I see us paying Erik Prince and his company to ride shotgun and to protect the mines first and the miners next. But the US government is far more interested in keeping China from making deals to mine rare earth minerals including lithium.

Except they're already there.

You must have a lot of time on your hands with no job and a hobby of pimping and growing ditch weed
Running away every time somebody calls him on his lies while claiming nobody will discuss issues takes up the extra time. But methinks he can do some of that from the La Quinta parking lot while his "lady" earns his meff money.
