Whatever you do, don't give your plants fish tank water!!! I heard that you could so I tried it... killed my plant in minutes flat!!! Stupid me trying some crazy shit!!! Never again!!!
Nope, freshwater...thats what makes it so crazy!!! maybe I should have cut it with more water? Was it salt fish?
Like chickenI'd be sus on nitrates.
Or phosphorus from the fresh fish shit.
Did it fry them?
Makes more sense than feeding it to the plantsGreat news.
I reckon the fish waste would be great in a compost heap.
If you have one.
Well that explains it... I never mixed it down... I should have asked before I did anything...a valuable lesson learned!!! I love this site!!! thanks for the info!!!i've been soaking my filter every two weeks in a gal of well water.i aerate with a simple pump and bubble stone for 24 hours and use about a cup of fish water(water is brown/black)per gallon of soil.my plants in veg love it.
So what does it do for themi've been soaking my filter every two weeks in a gal of well water.i aerate with a simple pump and bubble stone for 24 hours and use about a cup of fish water(water is brown/black)per gallon of soil.my plants in veg love it.
i was having some sort of a ph/nute issue that i never was able to identify.my leaves looked off and after a few doses the leaf color evened out and overall the plant looks healthier/happier/greener after bi-weekly waterings. So what does it do for them
That makes a hell of a lot of sense to do that...man, I learn something new everyday!!! I swear I love this site!!!i was having some sort of a ph/nute issue that i never was able to identify.my leaves looked off and after a few doses the leaf color evened out and overall the plant looks healthier/happier/greener after bi-weekly waterings.
the only reason i run aeration is so that fish water doesnt go stagnant and i can use it when a plant is ready for a watering, days after i've initially started soaking the filter.it's a new method i've recently started adding to my veg plants. i like the results.
