When breeding, after knowing which 2 u would like to cross....how do u go about picking who is gonna play momma & whos papi ? For instance, if I had a strain that usually produces small airy buds & I wanted to fatten them & get same high or better.....do I cross them with a strain that usually grows fat, with the fat 1 as daddy or does it matter ?

Whether you have a male or female you want to cross ,,then you have the right idea.Basically,if you want airy bud to thicken then cross it m or f, with the healthiest plant you have.To thicken up the buds ,look towards the indica side of things.I would suggest"the ultimate"(Dutch passion),or "Mango"(kc brains) hope that helps.

Greg Green has a great book out about Breeding and I highly suggest you purchase or borrow .. One should have a basic understanding of Botany and a basic understanding of true breeding if one intends to do serious work .. Anybody can make Hybrids .....Have Fun !

@ PP, thanx for the book info, like Truepunk, I'm about to get my order in. I never mind reading up on what I want to know. Sometimes there is no short answer & I know this, so a simple point in the right direction to get me started is greatly appreciated.

Why not make clones of both plants and then force one clone of each to herm? This way you can make the cross both ways and see how gender influences how each one performs as a parent.
