does using hydro growing nutes create salt stresses if used in soil?

I think im having a problem with a buddies grow he usually grows in hydro and now grows in hydro and soil but the stupidass has been using hydro nutes (the Cutting Edge Solutions) and was going good and now all of the soil ones are starting to show these rust spots on the older leave and yellowing but mostley the rust spots...I think it could be a salt lockout type of thing with these types of nutes because he hasnt flushed and it has been almost four weeks...I can post pics but what do you guys think

I think it would help if you posted the pictures...
People do use hydroponics nutrients in soil, in previous grows I used Fox Farm Tiger Bloom. I don't anymore because I want to keep my micro-life happy. But, for people who are not concerned about this or didn't really let that symbiotic bond form in the first place it is mostly fine to use hydro nutrients for soil and even to use organic nutrients for hydro (although some need to be screened first as they are too thick).
'Rust spots', or little orange dots on the leaves might even be an indicator of something like a calcium deficiency, or maybe even the pH being out of range.
Let us know how much the stuff he uses and what is in it; the NPK as well as any other nutrients it contains and other additives he is using.

alright here are some pics of those spots and he hasn't been checking the ph like a dumbass would and that may be it (he uses The cutting edge nutes and a combination like 6-0-0 and a veg at 15-30-5 and i think some preflower right now but....im going to go to my house to get my ph meter (Or ill just go buy one for the idiot since its obvious he doesn't own one) and check on that
