Does this sprout look healthy?

My first plant just sprouted today, although compared to other sprouts I've seen it looks a little worse for wear... does it seem unhealthy/stressed? Is this just something it'll outgrow? Also I haven't had much light on it until now because I figured there was no point in wasting electricity before there were any leaves.

It wont need any light until it has its first set of leaves. But its been my experience that moisture and heat are always good for seedlings...
Id get it on a heat mat or put a bilb on it to give it some heat....but not too hot hold you hand under the light if you hand can stay there for a long time ,...then your plants should be fine.
Hope it helps

That's silly. Of course it needs light. It won't need food until a week or two later, but it certainly needs light.

There's nothing wrong with that sprout! Not everything pops up in 12 hours and looks nice and green, sometimes you have a retard, sometimes a mutant, but that shows no look of anything out of the ordinary at 1 day.

Also sometimes the thin membrane that coats the cotyledons doesn't shed properly, or on it's own easily and I will go with a pair of tweezers and pluck it off because it can hold the head down like that sometimes
