Hi All, I can’t believe my situation but you have to deal with life. For the last 10 years or so I haven’t had problems getting good weed, I used the same guy, for the longest time I was paying around $3500 USD per pound for a good BC quality. As we all know, nothing lasts forever. I live in a retirement community in a semi tropical climate and it gets real hot here during the late spring through early fall so W/O an A/C I don’t think I can grow year round. In my garage I have a wooden box 45” wide 32” deep and 80” high. I’ve lined it with Mylar and I acquired an 8 10” pot drip system called SmartGardens with Autopot modules. The Grow medium is Perlite and coco-coir. I know I’m going to need an MH and HPS cooled lighting system with a safe ballast, I know I’m going to need PH and PPM meters, light movers, chemicals and god knows what else. I tried this a long time ago when I was living in a normal climate and although it didn’t go as expected, I was pleased with the meager results. I know there are grow houses all over this area because every time one gets popped it’s on the local news although everything is air conditioned except my garage. I want to go with CO2 but it looks to confusing with all the equipment and cost it could be way out of site. As far as seeds go, I have 10 Big Bud, 10 Northern lights and 10 bubblegum plus I was given 5 extra for the order. If anyone can give me a few tips or guidance or whatever I would be very appreciative. I can take pics of my box but I don't think it's necessary.
Thanks

Thanks for the Kudos, I post some new pics in a few days, If anone is interested in details, ask and I shall answer. I can say one thing, Autopots and Smartvalves do what they say they will do.

My mother died about a year ago at the ripe old age of 92, I sure hope that post made you feel real good.

don't let the riffraff on the site get you down. the vast majority of people are great to get along with. and you share a secret hobby that you can't easily share with people in person.

hang around and ignore the morons.

Hi CD

What lovely ladies you have there. Looks like you have a handle on that.

I have a question for you.

In your one pic, the one with the AC unit, what kinda lite is that? Appears to be purple in color.....UV?

Every post of his has nothing to do with the thread topic and is usually harassing...I've reported every post of his I've ever come across, and I'm sure others have too, and he's still here...

I think the admins need to put down the Thai stick and pick up the ban stick...

Hi All, Thanks for the support. To answer some questions my A/C is a 5000 BTU Zenith. Almost all 5000 BTU A/C’s are built by LG they are all the exact same thing. My Lights are High Output 600w MH/HPS with a digital ballest from China My reflector is vented out the top with a 4" in-line fan. I have a bathroom fan on top to exhaust the hot box air. I’m growing in Perlite and Coco coir in a 50% mix. My Nutrients are Future Gardens Liquid Earth series. I have a Prime !/15 HP Water Cooler I keep it at 68F but it’s hard when the temp goes over 95F. I'm glad the summer is almost over, the electric for all this stuff is $200 a month.

Looking good, I agree with desertrat, if you want some replies you have to be on the top of the page. Tons of really good threads hit the bottom with only a couple views and no replies.

Looks like you found a way to combat the tropical heat.

I don't grow in the summer to conserve energy, and not have to deal with fluctuating temps.

Good going +rep 4 u ;)

Once they flower they will double in size, males being removed will make perfect room for the females to grow. +a well timed bump to get you somemore views.

Hello all I hope everyone had a decent weekend. I don't have much to say today, I'm keeing eveything the same, I got some string and tied things up a little so the A/C can get more room. It's not showing any signs of sex as yet. Have a good one. Here are some new pics I took a while ago, I'm holding two plants away from the A/C with string. Notice that bigbud, it's tall in the shade. I hope they show their sex soon, I need room. Thanks for the nice comments, I did do lots of reading, I know a lot just because I've been around this stuff since the late 60's. Boy has it changed!!!

I love posts like this. Your plants look very healthy and green. They look like you have taken GREAT care of them. It's nice to see someone going the extra mile, reading, learning and applying. This only goes to show you how well a grow can go if you READ!!. Great job and please please post the end result.
