Does thickness of Mylar matter?

I'm looking at ordering some Mylar online & I came across this website selling 55in x 50ft rolls. They come in 3 thicknesses; 1-3 mm.

This is going in a closet so would the 1mm suffice?

Edit: I'm way too outta it to be calculating right now so would the 55in x 50ft roll be enough for a 5x4x9 closet? Do I cover the floor as well or just the ceiling and the sides?

Way more than enough for your closet.

1mil is pretty thin and some light might get through. If you use 1mil then i would recommend painting the walls behind it flat white

Sweet thanks for the reply, the walls are already a flat white so hopefully the 1 mil will work just fine. I'm sure it's better than not having any at all!

DUDE.... I hope this gets to you before you go and buy.. I just got a 4ft by 50 foot roll of 1mil off of ebay for 26.00usd shipped to my house. 1mil does rip easier but seriously.... it doesnt matter all that much if you are using a spray glue. (only do this if you do not have other plants in the same room) I didn't see what the shipping was for that company but I cant imgaine that it was that cheap.

Check ebay. I bought from someone named unclaimed freight or something like that.

It is amazing the difference in 1mm and 2 mm. The 1mm will easily tear and you can nto wipe it clean like the 2 mm, which is much much stronger.
