Does the summer heat affects outdoor grow?

Does the summer heat (south India, Kerala 33 - 35 degrees celcius max) affect my outddor grow in anyway? cause somebody said it will not flower until the weather cools down and here , it stays hot through the year..if it does affect the production of THC in the plant, what can i do to see that grows properly? thanks

Weed will start flowering when days become short enough. In south india (Kerala is 8.5074° N), you should lean toward mostly sativa strains with long flowering times as it's always 12/12 there and flowering will start immediately from seed no matter what you do. You make up for zero veg time with longer flowering time.

Temperature doesn't control flowering in cannabis, photoperiod does. Definitely pick a strain suited toward your equatorial latitude leaning toward pure sativas. Indicas are better way up north where daylength changes over seasons is very volatile. (see below chart for what I mean)

^ Nice chart.
Church is right, light is the thing that controls bloom.
Heat will effect the overall grow, but if you do your homework, you will find strains that have a higher tolerance for the extreme heat.
If heat is too much, try to find a spot that gets some shade during the day, so the plant gets a break from the direct sunlight for a few hours.

Thank you very much church, really appreciate all the info. Thing is my plant sprouted late november last year and there's hardly any signs of preflower, since it's been 5 months already and somebody told me lowering wont begin because o the heat and unless there is 12 hours of total uninterrupted pitch darkness, it's very close about 10 hours o total darkness, so i've made a temporary cardboad box to provide my grow with 12/12 , been two days now, no difference yet. My mother isn't too happy with weed in my backyard, so i just want to get it over with, so i thought i could force it to flower, any ideas?

P.S- I've attached some pics, can you tell me what sex it is and do you see any signs of pre-flowering or flower??

Thank you so much for you help. :)

Oh thanks or your help pro, i really didn't pick any particular strain, i wouldn't know how to anyway, it's just random seeds i picked up while we were cleaning our stash, one grew into a male, it got sunburnt while flowering, i got very little but im not complaining (a month ago) the other is a female i think (see the pictures ive attached in response to church's suggestions) that just wont stop growing, it's already 5 months and no signs of preflower ( i mean there are these little nodes but im not sure, you can take a look at the pics) i just want them to start flowering already!

hey i can water the plant twice a day right? I mean considering the heat and humidity that would help right?
