I was wondering if any of you know?
I am using glass jars and hate it, they are to small.
So will the material that the container is made from affect the taste?
What about paint cans, or 1 gallon buckets? all brand new not used.w/reseable lids?
Please help.

ok this is my opinion, its not really what the container is made of, just that it is air tight to make the weed sweat out the chlorafil thats left in the plant, i might be wrong, but its what i think, i have some in glass jars and some in plastic type containers.

just find the largest glass containers you can, and if you want when you're budds are dry put some citrus peelings in the jar to flavor your budd, lemon, orange, grapefruit, etc.

i am sure this is common knowledge, but just thought that i would share. i used an orange peels to fluff up my buds once in college. left for the weekend and came back and there was MOLD all over my stash. so watch out. i may have used too big of a peel of left it in the jar for too long, either way keep an eye on it

a little goes a long way with orange peels, if you put a whole peel or even a half or quater you went too far.. and it also shouldnt need to stay in there for more than overnight or a good 8 hour day keep an eye on it

I notice a difference between plastic and glass, but who knows. And not such a huge difference that I was upset, it was subtle...and I'm not sure it wasn't my imagination either I'm one of those guys when I drank I swore a bottle had a different taste than a can.

from the many book that i have read and growing white widow,skunk1, afgani, and top 44 i hung my plants up for about 2 to 3 weeks, then i snipped all the buds of the them. and place them in a glass jar, opend it up for 6 hours a day for 2 weeks, they say that you can cure it up to 8 weeks, but the more time you have your plants hanging the more time you take off your canning

Thank you for the reply's.Keep them commin.
I do agree with you gygax, bottles do taste better.
That is what prompted me to ask the question although I am a Captian Morgan drinker.
The peel idea is great, It's just that I witnessed large problems with mold aswell.
I dont think my weed will need any flavoring when I am done.
Has anyone used brand new unused paint cans?

I think those glass jars with a rubber seal, glass lid, and metal latch work best.....i think glass gives the best taste.....sort of like beer in a can and beer in a bottle. in my opinion glass is where it's at

these work fine too and don't leave a taste like plastic bags. but glass is better though.

How do you guys feel about curing in a cedar box? Do you think the weed would pick up some cedar taste? That would be amazing.

That is a good question, because I know that tobacco picks up flavors rather easily. Cedar would be a nice flavor. (Fine cigars smell nice in a good cedar box) In fact, I have some cedar lying around. I should give it a try.
