if you heat it enough to vaporise the cannabinoids out of the bud what do you think?

try putting the bud in a tea strainer and using a hairdryer to blow dry it, takes a bit of time and effort, but you definitely can get ripped on smooth (but not tasty) smoke 1hr after cutting a bud off.

It gives a buzz but not really strong

The drying and curing process is generally takes about two weeks combined. give or take depending on strain. Even letting your bud sit on a rack to quick dry for 3 days is degrading potency, but most people do it anyways. Whats the point in spending 2-3 months trying to do the process right just to mess it up at the end because you can't wait an extra week or two? Not trying to talk down to anyone, but the time commitment is already there, have some patience, it will be worth it.

Quick drying will lower potency of the finished product because the finished product will have more mass in starch and other crap. More starch means less potency.

When I sample mine I stick it in a fan assisted oven on low heat for a short while. Comes out dry and still gives a good hit but never as good as proper dried and cured.
