Does it make sense to buy an higher amp driver to run it dimmed to 75% or less?

I am putting together a parts list for the light I want to build. I am planning 6x cxm22 light engines and 2x HLG-240H-C1750 drivers so I can overdrive if needed but run it normally at 1.4a or less. I don't know why I may want to do this or whether I would ever drive them at 1.75a but I'd rather have too much than not enough. I'm putting this together for a 3x3 tent and I haven't committed to anything yet so feel free to advise me on something different if this is a stupid plan.. Thanks!

I personally like options and would go with more power than necessary. You can always dim down, but you can't dim up if don't the power. Plus, different strains may want different light levels, so give yourself options.

Thanks! Are there any disadvantages to doing it this way?

There maybe a cost consideration if you happen to between price points, and an efficiency degradation if you are not running at max amperage of the drivers. The drivers are more efficient the harder you drive them. Others on the site can speak more to the experience; checkout the data sheet of the drivers you are considering.
