Does Anyone Remember Their Dreams?

So, I have been a stoner for the past ten years or so. The only time I seem to remember my dreams is when I take a break from smoking. Do any of you guys actually remember your dreams when you are smoking?
 
nope! i noticed that as well... and like they said, the most crazy cold sweat dreams wild and vivid dreams when you stop :P
 
I recently wondered the same thing for lack of my own dreams. almost makes me want to quit for a Little bit just for scientific reasons. Almost.
 
An old flatmate of mine used it this way.
He smoked pot to not remember what he dreamed.
He told me he otherwise dreamt strange variations of what he experienced the day before.

I generally fall asleep fully baked, and normally do remember bits and pieces of my dreams when I wake up, just for a short bit though.... after 10 minutes or so it would be gone.
 
I have always been a lucid dreamer - when not smoking pot, could wake up in the middle of a dream, take a leak and consciously go back in the dream, could even change the dream... No dreams on weed. This is a good thing for me or else dreams are where I re-live the shitty stuff.
 
Cannabis does effect short term memory and this makes one seem to not even dream in a sense , as memory within dreams is usually deleted by the brain in a short time no matter . One needs to awaken from a dream and set it in memory in order to recall in time otherwise its just an obsolete dream when it comes to memory .

Most people only remember select dreams to begin with and most cannabis users do admit to little if any dream recollection . I myself only grasp a few a week that I recall and can describe . The human mind is an amazing thing that even we do not fully understand .

If you want to remember dreams one must train there mind to awaken upon a dream while journaling there notes , recorders are best as writing is not always easy at night and this helps one from turning on lights too .
 
I remember all my dreams. I've had to work to be able to realize when I'm dreaming so that I can conrtol the really fucking scary ones. Which (I can't pin point why, I've never been in the shit, I'm not a fighter, I guess from tv...) happen more often than not. When I had to stop smoking in '12 for legal reasons I would wake up literally in sweat soaked sheets. Physcially and mentally shaken, sometimes for the whole day. I cut out all violence from tv I tried sleeping drugs, meditation, physical activity, diet changes, all to no avail. As of late things have gotten a little better. My dreams are as vivid as ever but things have gone in a direction that aren't as negative. The human mind IS amazing. Symphonies that last all night evety note of which I've never heard. Apocalypse followed by a new beggining of the world. Flying.. Falling... heres the thing. I would give up the good ones not to remember the bad.

I get this even when i smoke, nothing like waking up completely soaked, sheets soaked and not being able to change them cause the wife is sleeping still.
 
Awesome guys, thanks for the responses! I recently quit smoking to remember my dreams. I would really like to have lucid dreams. I have def had really weird and crazy dreams, but luckily no nightmares.

If you're serious about wanting to remember your dreams, then you must follow the profs advice and immediately upon waking up, record some notes of your dream. Many a good novel has been started this way.
 
I was actually talking about this subject with my brother last year. We used to smoke a lot when we were younger, but nowadays, we sometimes go a couple of months without smoking. We both agree that the worst thing about not smoking regularly is having stupid dreams and generally not sleeping as well. I always forget that cannabis is a great sleeping aid until I quit smoking for a while and then wake up in the middle of the night from having a stupid dream about some deadline I had for a job ten years ago.
 
Wow, I didn't realize how many of us cannabis users experience the same thought/brain functions.

I took a T-break about 2 years ago...simply because...it was no longer an effective means of medication after two decades of daily usage.

Prior to the T-break, I thought it was so odd that I'd not been capable of recalling any dreams since early child-hood.

My T-break was a duration of approximately 90 days, during which, my dreams initially began to gradually increase in both frequency and the capability to recall said imagery.

After 2 months, it became bothersome and was interrupting my sleep pattern, theoretically I believe the abstinence from cannabis was effecting my life in a negative connotation.

Anti-anxiety meds helped somewhat, however prolonged usage of any benzo will have a negative impact on cognition (make ya stoopid)

So I decided to pick up the bong again, and sure enough; not even a week back into cannabis-based therapy, the bothersome dreams ceased.

Now that I'm utilizing soley hash oil...Dreams?...haha, I don't even remember falling asleep...lol

What I find interesting is with some strains of my home-made oil, after 2-3 dabs relatively close to one another..I can close my eyes and SWEAR, I'm dreaming while still somewhat awake.

The mind is just mind-blowing.

I agree on this one.

I dream every night, and remember at LEAST one-two of the many dreams I have on any given night.

The craziest dreams for me are when I used to fall asleep super drunk. My god, those dreams go in such random directions.

Alcohol dreams are trippy and random, Hash dreams are the most exciting, weed dreams are pretty decent, and sober dreams are similar to being on weed.

Hell, who am I kidding, I don't even REMEMBER the last time I fell asleep without some sort of thc in my system. Because when I don't smoke, insomnia rears it's cruel head. No cannabis is no bueno, because 4 hour sleep days make you feel zombie-ish.

At the same token, maybe insomnia is the key to remembering dreams. I wake up anywhere from 5-20 times on any given night, roll, stay awake for a minute, then fall back asleep...Sometimes it takes a good oil dab to get me back into bed...otherwise...Computer game time. ;) But yeah, on those times I lie awake in between dreams, I lay and ponder the dreams I have been experiencing through the night.

Then again, I used to trip every Sunday for a good quarter of a year or so, as well as intermittently...so maybe the third eye has been opened for good, and this is the result.
 
I don't remember my dreams either. When I had to quit a few years back for about ten months I had wild dreams. I think I still dream but just don't remember them.

When we first encountered one another, I had a strange intuition that we somehow had ” something” in common.

I couldn't quite put my finger on it..but, I KNOW for sure we had a common interest other than marijuana..

Then, I saw the Clockwork Orange references...hmmmm?

Bro, I've taken many many many trips as well...so much, that I would often trip alone.

Everybody said” never trip alone”...” You'll regret it”

I found that my very best trips, were when I was flying solo, zero inhibition, no wondering what your friend is ” thinking” about...

In retrospect, maybe it was because,, I REALLY liked that intense ” super-trip”, totally different world once enough hallucinogens is consumed..they're not many people that actually like to eat a 3/4 oz of killer mushrooms...haha
 
For those suffering with insomnia...

Have you tried ” true-shatter”..as in real-deal, shards of broken glass shatter?

A lot of vendors will lable a product” shatter”..when it's not a true shatter.

Well, true shatter is caused from a CBN level greater than 50%..hence the brittleness.

True shatter, and it's not really a ” high” per se...

With my shatter...I'm NOT high...I can not even hold my eyes open, no matter what...it is officially bed time after shatter dabs..

I use earwax to unwind, and get high..much more geared towards the classic ” high”..nice relaxed and happy.
