does anyone know what the chances are of getting a female from seeds............. like a 1 out of 4 or 1 out of 3 seed ratio ????????:

50% male or female 1/2

Technically it should be 50% but a pack of seeds may realistically have all males or no males, so always estimate conservatively when purchasing seeds.

Perhaps you should look into cloning.

The higher the amount of seeds in a given study, the higher probability of a stabilized 50/50 ratio.

but like phyzix said, if you have a pack of 5 seeds. there is a higher probability of male seeds or female seeds conversely.

but genetically speaking, the chromosomes that the male pollen carried to the female pistil was either an X or a Y chromosome. you have exactly 50% percent chance either way.

Technically it should be 50/50, but some breeders are known for having a higher % female. TGA for example, most people report 6-7 females out of 10. Some other breeders can regularly have 4 out of 10 be female. Just depends...
