actually no. the bud has to be wet and do it before the leaves get limp.

some of those trimmers ive hear butcher the buds up. I spent 1.5 hrs last harvest trimming and its wasn't that much fun to say the least. but my end result really made it worth my time and back pain. lol im looking for a quality trimmer for my next go around in 4-5 more weeks.

All bud has to be fresh with leaves not curled in. I have a trim pro and if your doing less than 15 big plants its not worth it IMO. It does a great job for the initial run but hand trimming is still required if you want bag appeal! Again it does waste a bit. But saves ten fold in manpower😃. All I do now is personal and haven't had it out in a few years. Its much nicer when done by hand IMO.

You spent only an hour and a half trimming and you want an auto-trimmer? Sounds like a waste. I just got done trimming half of a plant and it took me 3hrs. I've got a pro trimmer coming for the rest of my garden. She can do 2 lbs in about 8hrs. Unbelievable but true and she does a great job. In my opinion it's well worth it to bring in a pro. I can only trim for 3hrs max per sitting ( and thats pushing it) because of back surgeries and nerve damage in my leg. I'm not going to butcher my buds in one of those machines- I've heard too many bad stories about them. Most people that buy them use them once and never again.

Now that I understand. I don't see how people can trim for hours and hours, it kills me and most of my friends. We all bring in the pros. I think it's worth it in the long run- time is money. There are many other things I could be getting done.

I've seen a few used online but no one says if the bud should be dry or not
Take bowl trimmer, place in trash and walk away.

Then trim by hand or buy a tabletop trimmer.
I wasted money on a bowl trimmer and it sucks. It is way too much work to get the buds ready to be butchered by the bowl.

My cheapo, $180 tabletop trimmer works fine and does not trash my buds.

The last plant I plucked, I didn't even trim. There is a lot to be said for leaving leaves on through the cure. I just crumble the leaves off as I smoke.

The pro trimmer I use is a Latina. They do have very strong work ethics. They usually trim non stop til it's all done. I've seen them go for 24hrs straight.

Me n my neghbor 25oz 8 hour trim
Almost 2 oz a hour. That's sounds pretty good, faster than me. I guess it does matter what your bud to leaf ratio is also. I'd like to get a group of my friends over for a trim party but I still would rather not have most people know about my grow. If they already know it wouldn't be a problem , but nobody but my family knows about my garden and they can't help me trim for various reasons.

The proper way of using the bowl trimmer is taking off the fan leaves then you cut every nug out then place in the bowl trimmer and it will do the magic. You need a dry rack though.
