I got like 50 clones outside that aren't as big as I want them to be, im trying to add some supplemenmtal lighting , with a timer from 5pm to 10 pm, in an attempt to prolong the veg season outdoors for a month or so, the clones are in5 gallon bags , I got an empty swimming pool, im wondering if putting a vertical 1000watt light around about 25 plants that are about 20 in in height , wondering if this will work to prolong veg, let me know what u think

I am considering just using a security light for a few hours to keep me at 14, I plan on using the 400W on the side of my house... So far it's working. 3 hours a day of supplemental but it's a bitch moving them daily.

I've been using 23watt cfl's hung over 6 of my plants (1 bulb per plant) to keep a light sensitive strain in veg. Seems to be working so far. The cfl's aren't causing any growth really but they keep the girls "awake" and they still get full sun during the day. I run them from 5:30am-7:30am and from 6:00pm-10:30pm. I'm awake and have lights on at those hours so it hopefully looks less out of place.

It's looks like a UFO landed in my back yard though. I'm using a bright porch light to sort of "cover up" the extra light.

I've been keeping my clones outside during the day and pulling them into my tent at night under 600w mh, so far its working great, but it is such a pain moving them in and out.
