I was just curious, instead of glass jars and what not, does anyone use humidors?
I know it keeps cigars nice and moist, but I wonder if it would put too much moisture
on the green, green grass of home? Does anyone use this method of storage?

Thought about doing this myself before. Is there a way to control the moisture level in a humidor or not? seems like it would be ideal if you could but i would find one that had not had cigars in it otherwise the stash will smell like and taste like the cigars after some time.

Ive looked up the idea before. Seems like most "personal use" ones use glycerin/water to maintain RH which is semi-adjustable from what i understand. Bigger ones that store a thousand or more cigars are electric powered.

Could be fun to build your own and carve some art into it.

I smoke a cigar 3-5 times a week.ive found my humidor not to be the best place for my stash.flavors will mix & that can get a bit funky.i will say that if you have a stash that is a bit too dry then get some water pillows.just soak them in distiled water & thro one in your jar.these pillows keep a humidity of 65-72% humidity.works really well to bring dry bud back to life.IMO

The thing that keeps cigars fresh and hydrated in a humidor is the humidity disk/sponge like thing that holds "50/50 solution" which keeps the humidity at 70%. So you could use that in any container really. They sell the humidity cartridges cheap online at most cigar websites. Its basically a plastic holder with a sponge in it that you squirt the solution on. They also make these little jars with blue gel caps that you put water on and they absorb it and keep humidity at 70% as well. Trousers is right though,if you were to use a humidor it imparts the cedar smell, which is nice for cigars but kinda weird on weed.

I'm not a fan of the sponge humidifiers.mold can grow easily even if you use polypropylene solution.
