Does anyone get the feeling that they're gonna burn they're retinas out from dealing with grow lights so often? After dealing with just 6 CFL's on some sproutlings I feel half blinded and had to turn on half the lights I own just to find my pants....:idea::idea::-o:idea::idea::idea:

-_- O_O -_-

No i don't get that feeling.

The feeling i do get is that feeling i, and i think most people, get when they go from bright to not so bright. Something to do with pupils opening and closing ;)

Staring hard at a light and then having a big ass purple blob infront of you for the next 15 minutes, that's another thing

LOL!! I'm just dealing with sproutlings, so no HPS atm, just CFL's to blind me. And when looking down at the sprouts with the bulbs an inch and a half off of them, you can't really avoid looking at the light :-P ;-)

Personally if i was using a CFL, just like with an HPS, i would be using a reflector to stop all that light being wasted shining up and out. When i look at my plants the bulbs are hidden by the reflectors. I am exposed to light, but am rarely forced to have the bulbs in my eyeline.

Wow, now that i'm using 13 veg spectrum CFL's, my eyes always take quite a long time to adjust after I leave the grow area. I have to turn on lights and blink quite a bit before i'm able to see again. And no...I won't be trying that "Just to see" considering if I were to try that....seeing is about the last thing i'd be doing..

After leaving my room with 1000w I usually run into a few walls on my way upstairs. Stoned and blind.
