My point is
Do not run stories that incorrectly point out racism or bigotry where there is none. There are plenty of cases that merit being covered for examples of racism and bigotry. Or police brutality.
Ahmed Mohamed is a false martyr. He put himself in this mess and it is only because of his religion, name and skin color that it grew any legs.
Now the bigots and racists will use his name to proclaim that bigotry and racism don't exist....again

I don't think people will say racism doesn't happen, but Americans are hyper sensitive to anything that could be even vaguely considered "racist" and the news stories sell.

I agree with you, I also think that moderators should stay the fuck away from trying to tell people what they should or shouldn't feel.
It isn't anyone's choice what I choose to post but my own, if they don't like it they have the power to delete it but as far as I am concerned no one is going to bully me into leaving just because I don't ride this kids dick.

Moderators are here to moderate, not to tell someone what they should or shouldn't say. Go take a look at the posts and come back and tell me I am wrong, if you believe I am then I will recant my statement.

I see all kinds of straight horse shit in the politics section, I was trying to get to the bottom of this and I don't appreciate a moderator suggesting to me what I should or shouldn't do. Maybe it seems a little sensitive, maybe making a mountain out of a molehill but we already know from page 1 where the particular person stands.

I am all for free speech so yeah, tell me what you like but don't expect me to come back respectful. You can't walk up to someone who is on the opposing side as you and say "maybe you should just walk away from this argument" and expect them to just be like oh sure you are so right.

When I was in HS ceramics, I modeled a few grenades and bundles of dynamite. I made them as real looking as I could. I even finished the dynamite with real wire.

Nobody said shit 20 years ago. Now I'd be arrested.
