you will need a exhaust fan and a intake fan with the same cfm. if u work in ur room u will need to turn it on so u dont pass out as u breath the ppm's will go up and go up fast...i have the same room 15x40x10...3.5 tun excel

If all you are worried about is when you open your door you should just look into ONA GEL! They have it at my local hydro store and probably a lot of other places! My lady's parents cant smell anything in my house and I'm not even in a sealed room. I can smoke a blunt and have people over 10 min later! I scoop out a cup at a time a put it in a blue glass candle holder. Almost impossible to notice, your house just smells good! I just run a carbon filter and exhaust out of the roof. You can get different scents, never bought anything from this link it's just for reference!

ya good call, i'll just settle on leaving the door open i guess..but i'm use to working in 1500 ppm of c02

and to the none believers i actually am doing this setup it's all done just waiting for my tables....i will not be posting pics sorry for security reasons.

Plants don't make "waste vapors", they inhale carbon dioxide and exhale oxygen, the inverse of humans.

Their smell is from molecules given off while growing. The point of activated carbon filters to to capture them, and yes, in theory you could do that even with air recirculating inside a room.

Anyway, I also call BS.

If you have a room that is truly totally sealed, the growing plants will quickly use up all the available CO2 then stop growing.

So you will NEED to bring in fresh air or the plants growth will be stunted.

Yes, you can supplement by directly adding CO2, but unless you plan on running a hyperbaric grow room, you'll still have to vent/exhaust the air displaced by your added CO2, and your room won't truly be "sealed".

Small leaks can, and will occur. I run a sealed room too, but a little smell still escapes. Tiny leaks in the vented hoods will exchange some air, and moisture and co2 will permeate through drywall and paint. I only emit 1cfh of co2 for a 10 by 10 room, not sure what my ppm are, but it's working.

My room is sealed, and I have co2. No fresh air is ever needed. The room gets stinky as the flowers mature, but it stays in the room. So long as the door isn't open for long periods of time, the smell stays put. You could put a "scrubber" in the room if you want to further control odor...

and im pretty sure u have to scrub air. a carbon scrubber is needed for sure, if there are absolutely no in or out vents.

Carbon scrubber will do the trick. I operate an sealed room during the summers since its so hot out here. I personally use Ona gels. They do a good job. Venting the air at lights off is reccomended if the CO2 runs consistantly to remove the excess CO2. The plants don't use the CO2 as much as when lights are on.

unless im reading u wrong. but co2 is only used when the lights r on.

your room sounds similar to mine. 16x25 room,8 xxxl mag hoods , 4ton central. etc. mines sealed for the most part and my can air filter kills all smell!! Also if you did a decent job framing then your sound barrier should be solid as well. My room runs great.

ive tried doing a sealed room once in a 5x4x8 room and i had to leave for a week had my friend watch over them and ended up getting powder mildew everywhere it was a nightmare

a co2 generator is the fresh air that they need.

if you dont have a heat issue you have all the right stuff going on for sure!!!!!! the only thing i do diferent is i have my carbon filter in the room and exausting out so everything that goes out is filter'd. your ozone generator will help alot also inside the room!!!! the exaust will ned to be timed so it is not pushing all your co2 out the room before it has a chance to be absorbed by the plants unless you have a constant supply and a moniter to make sure your ppm's of co2 are right. hope this helps . happy farming

timming is real hard to do. out side ambients would make it hard to time. controller needed.

What I meant was that the plants dont use the co2 as much while lights are off vs to when the light are on. Sorry I cut the sentence short.
