Bumping an old post but there's lots of great info and experienced people here, and hopefully someone can answer my questions please.
I have a 6'' fan rated at 350 CFM with a speed controller and 10 different speeds. If i set it on speed 1 it should pull 35 CFM, right?
And if i put a 6'' carbon filter rated also at 350 CFM, is this filter too big for a speed setting 1? Or is it actually better? What's the worse that could happen?
Also, i bought some insulated ducting for soundproofing, it doesn't say exactly what material is used but i assume it's rockwool? Can it trap moisture and grow mold?

The best solution is trial and error. Run the fan as low as you can to get maximum dwell time. Your nose will tell you what works best. You should be shooting for 8 to 10 ach, or air changes per hour.
