Well when you flush you use strictly ph'ed water which means the plant is drinking clear water no nutes for at least a week which means the stem is drinking clear water and guess what the stem is connected to the bud which means your bud is drinking clear water for a week. Now the reasoning behind this is the residue from the nutrients anybody with a 100 gallon reservoir knows what I'm talking about you can't just pump the water out of it to change water there is a build up of nutes on side and bottom you have to scrub it off same goes goes for the water that goes to feeding the plant and in turn the bud is that simple enough for you?

Thank you for simplifying the process for us! It's like it's all connected? Is that right? Can you elaborate a little more? I appreciate the way you break it down and would like to learn more from you!

U r a fucktard u don't even know how to flush or the reasons why

How to flush for retards
Step 1 get 3 times the volume of your pot of water and pour into your pot
Step 2 let it drain
Step 3 get nutrients and feed plant till overflows pot
Do not feed plant straight water in last 2 weeks of flowering... u can flush excess salt from medium that's what flushing is about
But u still need to feed ur plant
All flushing does is gets rid of salt build up in medium
This stupid shit of feed plain water to ur plant for last 2 week will give a insuperior quality bud and less weight u do not wanna detox a plant of the shit it needs that is just dumb..
Nutrients do not build up in ur buds lol if it's in ur bud it's because the plant used it lol and grew ...with a flushing takes about 15 minz not 14 days
U should call it starving not flushing

  • Myth #4 “Flushing plants with plain water removes chemicals.”

Flushing your plants in the last two weeks of a grow is one the most common pieces of knowledge when it comes to pre-harvest time.

So is flushing your plants before harvest a good idea? Yes. But not for the reason that most people think…

Any time you feed your plants, they intake nutrients which - in too-high amounts - are not able to be used by the plants and therefore can add a 'chemically' taste to your buds. Flushing in the last two weeks gives your plant a chance to “drink water” without extra minerals to further alter the taste. It also clears out any build up of excess minerals or nutrient salts in your medium (such as coco coir, or water for DWC).

However, flushing does not "leach out" nutrients/minerals that are already in the buds. While your plant can use up extra stored nutrients in the leaves of the plant, this does not remove a "chemical" taste from your buds if you've provided too many nutrients throughout the flowering stage.

Many people believe that flushing with plain water takes nutrients (and thus bad taste) out of the buds, in a sense, returning them to their ‘natural flavor’. Unfortunately, this just isn’t the case.

When it comes to ensuring good taste and smell of your cannabis plants, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Instead of relying on the flush to prevent extra nutrients from being stored in your buds, it's better to avoid ever giving the plant more nutrients than it can use in the first place. That means keeping nutrient levels as low as you can throughout the grow while preventing nutrient deficiencies.

Your a fuckin dumbass not everyone top feeds some people have recirculating systems and unless your buds are completely dry when you chop the "water weight" which is in em is the same nutrient water which you fed them the day before

did YOU read your own link, DINK?

The last two weeks of flowering should be spent getting rid of any built-up nutrients in the growing medium, a process called leaching, or flushing. By removing all access to nutrients, the plant begins to consume its stored food reserves. These reserves are nasty compounds that we don't want in our smoke, such as sugars, starches and various other elements. Harvesting plants that still have these undesirable elements present will only result in a harsh smoke and terrible burnability.

Exactly which is why you should flush

Actually guess what, cannabis plants don't store nutrients at all in buds. The only nutrients that will ever be in a calyx are the nutrients immediately needed by it. Nutrients are "stored" in leaves. Not to mention the fact that not all nutrients are mobile so the ones that are already in your buds, guess what, they're going to stay there.

To your point that we don't flush tobacco because it's a leaf, not a bud, read what I just typed again.

There is absolutely nothing in Botany that says flushing is beneficial, and especially not for two weeks.

No, no it's not. As soon as the water enters the roots it's already been filtered and the composition changed once. Up the stem it's been changed again. Once it hits a leaf, guess what, it's changed again. By the time that water hits the bud things have been added and taken away.

You have never read a botany textbook or any factual information about plant science. Pick one up please.

yup I agree flush and ph'd water only for the last couple of weeks no question tastes better burns better I even tried a blind study of flushed vs non flushed .9 out of 10 picked the flushed without being told they were the same strain or weather they were flushed or not .Further non flushed appears to cause headaches in about 50% of my study group ...all unknown to any of them if it was flushed or not flushed .Take it as you will and do what you want with this and keep not flushing and your patients will soon belong to the flushers lol
