840 H.P. 9.65 1/4 140 M. P H. 2.3 0-60 100 MPH in 5 seconds pulls wheelies

Where are the stats that matter? A car's goodness these days is measured by one figure and one figure only: its Nürburgring single-lap time. What is this car's?

You know Dodge knows this too. They field an actual performance car, and look what they had to do to get a good 'Ring time. Over half a ton of downforce!

This intrigued me because I have believed for years that the true sign of a vehicle tech coming mature is oits use in commercial/utility vehicles. I have held the 40-ton long-haul semi as the touchstone for electric. i was so stoked, and then ...

I didn't see a semi but a small, urban-use box van. Cheaters.

Once there ARE electric semis, only THEN will I concede that electrics are the next big thing. How would you keep an electric semi running on a diesel-competitive schedule? The issue I see is frequency of charging and time lost doing so, even when e-fill stations are in place. There is tech and infrastructure that still needs to be built before electrics are more than a niche product ... for folks who never get more than half a charge from their home charging station. That does not describe me, so I remain with fueled vehicles for now.

I'm an early adapter...:-)

Yup ... I drive longer distances so an electric makes no sense for me at this time. I would love to see a prototype electric semi-trailer truck. That'll help draw me into the new paradigm, if that is what it will prove to be.

As for the pickup ... make mine the longbed dually with a kingpin for the 5th wheel. Now tell me how long it'll take me to cross from LA to NYC ... with such a rig.

It is a smaller-scale version of the semi-truck problem imo.

335 miles is pretty long range, that's about 5hrs behind the wheel. I would need a 20min brake before getting back in the saddle...... just enough time for a quick recharge at a Tesla charging station.;)

When are you going there lol . Demon is a street racer/track 1/4 car

Nice! My favorite long trip is 310 miles each direction. I'd need a Tesla charging station in East Buttfuck and then I'll be good to hop on board.
one of the reason Tesla has yet to return a profit is because they are installing charging stations at a blistering pace. They are doubling charging stations every 90 days.
