Do you use or have used Double ended Hps?

I need help with picking what air cooled reflector and bulb to go with a Galaxy 1000w DE ballast.
Trying get the highest possible par rating.
I got $100 for the bulb and $100 for the fixture.
Can any brand DE bulb work in any brand fixture and can those in turn work with a separate brand ballast.

I did but no one who replied has ever used one.
They are just giving me advice for single ended not knowing if it applies to double ended or not. It's frustrating. I chose to post the thread here cause it said led and other lighting.

I figured Double ended COULD fall under other lighting.

it really belongs over there but yeah the bulbs are somewhat universal. there was one that was a tad shorter that didnt clip in right but they prob resolved that by now. ACDE is the only air cooled hood worth as hit in my opinion. anything that directly has air flowing over the bulb is going to reduce output

i can confirm ushio pro plus fits an ACDE
