Hi guys, basicly the title says it all. Do you think my girls are ready yet?

Today its been 61 days of flowering. Ive been trying to judge myself but its my first grow and im comfused about the whole trich's thing. Ive read loads about them but still I dont really have any idea what they are!

Also read a few pros / cons of flushing. What do you guys do? If im going to flush should i start now?

I can easily upload more pics or supply info about the plants / environment.

Thanks in advance for any help!!

I like what I see! If it where me I would do a 7-9 day flush then harvest. They look like there just about ready to swell (calyxs).

Looking good, looking really juicy and those close up of those buds are making my mouth water, literally.

Are those trichomes amber or clear? If they're looking amber you're ready to go at anytime now, although I would wait as GoldenG suggests just in case they are ready to swell, defintely worth waiting another 7 days. Post back with the weight you got mate.

Ha! I know what you mean.
I guess Trichomes are best described as that white stuff you see around the flowers. It usually forms mid flower and is clear, then as the plant ripened they turn cloudy and from a distance look like white stuff. Once a plant has ripened it starts to spoil and those trichomes turn amber. Ya need a glass to get a good look. 30x jewelers scope is like $5 on ebay, they work good.

I harvest when cloudy trichomes cover most the buds. By that time like your plant the pistils have died off and turned amber.
What I have noticed is they usually get a little growth spurt towards the last week or so swelling the buds a bit.
You are there man.

As far as flushing, I never did it until I started growing in hydro. Then I had to.
Now I flush my soil grows by just stopping with nutes a week before but I really don't think it makes a difference in soil.

Thanks man they make my mouth water too! Like i said in my original post i still havnt worked out exactly what the trichs are. If they are the hair looking things but a bit fatter then id say they were 100% milky. Is that a good thing?

haha u must have replied as i was replying to spendid808! Ive got a microscope. If ive identified the right things (trichs) then id say they were 100% milky? thanks dude

I've read a lot of people wait until the trichs go amber before they harvest but I've also read that some strains never go amber. I reckon if you give it another week she'll be ready for you. Wish I could sample some of that fine looking herb, I've got another 3-4 weeks before mine's ready, the wait is killing me!!!

Your girlies are looking nice!
Looking pretty close to being done too!
Until you're more familiar with the trichromes, rule of thumb is 75% or so brown 'hairs' on the buds and you're good to go.

You're in soil, aren't you?
Flushing your soil isn't the best thing for your plant(s)
you're flushing away nutrients.......it's food
The yellowing leaves 'Flushers' say are a sign of it working, are your plant(s) telling you they're starving.
Starving a plant in it's last week or two of life is totally counterproductive to all you've done so far.

Proper drying/curing allows proper chemical breakdown.
