Do You Think? It's Wrong to Steal from Wal-Mart?

Of course stealing is wrong. But is it such a big deal to steal little nic nacs from huge companies that would never no the difference?.

Ive always considered myself a pretty honest guy. Prob one of the nicest people you would ever meet :). But ive always had the thought that stealing little stuff from places like wally word isnt that bad. I would never steal from an individual, or like a small business. When i was a teenager i would steal candy bars and shit like that. Very rarely do i steal anything now. Actually, i can honestly say, i have only stolen 1 thing in the past few years, and that was spring scissors from wal mart. I was broke at the time getting groceries and didnt want to pay 13$ for scissors. Afterwards i felt bad and actully thought about returning it to the store on a random shelf(glad i didnt, those scissors are fucking handy). But now im starting to reconsider my opinion on the whole matter.

I thought it would be interesting to hear yalls opinions on this matter

if several hunderred people hit up walmart as a whole for a 13 dollar item u could get into the thousands quick and lost revenue doesn't just affect the company those cost are trickled down to every patron and to all the stock holders. costing alot more than just a company at that point

i don't think it's morally wrong but i wouldn't risk getting busted over something so stupid. i also don't think it's wrong to kill someone under some circumstances, that doesn't mean i would do it.

its not worth the trouble. How do you know if the Loss Prevention department isnt watching you? Then you get arrested for shoplifting, not anything anybody needs ever. I try to stear clear of the law as much as i can, even with driving. I understand that you didnt have money at the time, but come on, 13 dollar pair of scissors is not worth the consequences if you did get caught. Maybe you like the thrill of it? I know i kinda like the thrill of doing illegal shit, like buying bud and driving home with it. But there are no cameras watching me do this either.

I'm a firm believer in karma. If you steal it will come right back at ya. For a long time I used to think its ok to steal from big companies because they are so wealthy. I used to be a thief myself and stole from a bunch of stores when I was younger but now I have lived and learned that it was very foolish and nothing good comes from stealing. In fact things got stolen from me eventually. Since I changed my ways it sure has paid off.

How much money do you have? Would it be okay for me to steal $20 bucks? Its less than 1% of your net worth though!?
IMHO stealing is wrong 100% of the time, not to say walmart isnt evil but as a great man once said "An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind" aka two wrongs dont make a right (but three lefts do)
Plus as others have pointed out, stealing increases walmarts losses so they simply pass it on to the consumers or their insurance (who in turns passes it on down the line).

I had a friend steal a pair of shoes at the mall while running from the store he twisted his ankle and broke it. How's that for karma?

I worked loss prevention back in the day. We used to get a rush of adrenaline when idiots would try to steal. My favorite part was watching them on camera thinking they were sneaky and the tackling their dumbasses when the exited the store...and oh how they would beg for us to not bring in police...all I cansay on this post is loss prevention is there to catch theives, police are there to make the arrest, and the theif is there in cuffs looking at a pair of $13 scissors. Theives belong locked up, i don't care if you steal big or small, if you steal a loaf of bread to feed your family, id still bust that ass...that's my stance

if you have to steal to live then by all means fucking do it. if you dont need it though dont steel it. when i was 15 and living on the streets i would go in to wal mart and go to the shirt section and toss a plain red, white, black t shirt what ever color i felt and put it on and wlked out. i would also go to the deli get some chicken then walk around the store eating it, a bag of chips and a soda pop and then just leave when finished. i dont do this any more only wheni needed to feed and cloth my self in hard time
