BUMP, has any one used these soiless plugs for cloning? i just want to know if you soak them first in 5.5phwater like rockwool, before cloning/cutting. it didn't come with instructions. i think you just stick the cutting in the plug, because they are already moist, i just don't know the natural ph of the cubes. the hydro shop aint open till tomorrow!

I actually am using Rapid Rooters I bought at the growshop today and the gentleman gave me directions to give them a quick dip in water. He also said to take any unused plugs, bag them and put them in the freezer. I have never done this myself and will be wensday nite, good luck

I soak them in RO water for a few minutes, not sure if it needs to be done but I always get roots in 7-10 days.
thanks dude, just checking if the ph of soiless was off, but it seems like it's neutral. i just cut, this is my second time. 1st time i used rockwool, but it took almost a month to root. i think it's because the RW was intially too soaked. this time i didn't soak them at all, i just sprayed them with 6.3ph superthrived water after i stuck them in the plugs. i use dyna grow gel for the root hormone. this time around i added a heat pad. let's see how long it takes last time, i had 100% sucess, just took a long time.
