so i am just asking a question and telling about my personal opinion share yours im interested in the thoughts on riu?

i live in a state where medical marijuana is legal but i have stayed under the radar and since the latest big boom i have lost costumers to the dispenceries. i was just growing enough to live comfortably. now why would all you guys wanna make it legal if in the end we are gonna lose money like i am right now! I think most of these ppl just cant keep their mouth shut and tell people they smoke, grow or they are stupid kids parked smokin in their car why dont you people use some common sense and stop bragging about doing illegal shit, smoke somewhere legit fuck i dont care if its in a god damn tree fort in the forest! then you wont be in trouble and i can keep living life the way i love living it. :leaf:

oh and if you wanna make it legal to grow in your back yard stop being lazy put a lil effort into it and hide it in a garden or save up from growing indoors than buy a house with lots of land and shrub oak( the way it grows it has clearings where you can plant great big trees!!!) or some kind of tree/shrub than you can grow all you want in your own backyard. your killing the people who have been supplying you with your smoke for years and years!!!!:wall:

anyone got some opinions on the subject??

this is a really interesting one, i live in the UK so medical marijuana is a non-factor, but for me personally i'd welcome full decriminalisation or legalisation for a few reasons.

i only grow for myself, and a very few friends, so i don't make money from it anyway. legalisation would mean i don't need to worry about getting busted producing 'drugs'. i grow indoors and i don't tell people about it but it's still a bit of a worry

i could smoke wherever i wanted without having to be on the edgy. i'm not one of those 'stupid kids who smoke in their cars' you mentioned, at present i only usually smoke in places i won't get caught (like in my house) but it would be nice to be able to walk down the street or chill in the park or outside the pub with a joint instead of a cigarette and not need to get stressed out.

i could carry bud wherever i wanted (within the country) and nobody could give me shit for it, again i don't usually cart it about and never in large quantities but it would be really nice to be able to go for a night out (a lot of clubs make you empty your pockets to check for drugs) and not have to shove a baggy (for after-party smoking) down my pants or in my sock.

i definitely see your point that people are abandoning the dealers and growers who've been sorting them out for years, and that's shit for the dealers and growers, but i personally wouldn't be doing that, and i wouldn't be suffering from it either.

that's just my personal view on it, obviously it's from a different angle than yours but it's interesting to see what you said about it. i really don't know the rules surrounding mmj but could you get a licence to supply a dispensary or something? just a thought. sorry for you though dude that your old customers are walking out, must be a bitch.

ya i could get a license but the market is so flooded by newbies and dealers going legit the price of dank chronic has dropped down to 2000 maybe 2500 dollars(it used to be 4000) not to mention all the shit you have to do to get a license and it costs 3000 to get a license to be a caregiver now! the last reason im stayin low is because you have to pay seriouse taxes so its hardly worth it. not to mention you can get raided by DEA if anyone of your competitors says you are doing dirty work so you lose all your plants for a while even if they have to supply you with more plants afterword its just a big pain in the ass. im just a fan of keeping it simple so when its illegal its easier for me to live.

i agree that it would be cool at a club but why dont people just do ciggaweed or take a black n mild stuff it with weed and smoke it outside no one will say shit. it takes more effort but that is kind of the fun off it i think

yeah fair enough i can see that being shitty for u and people in ur situation. probs for the big growers legalisation is a bad idea but for the little ones like me it's better.

we can't smoke anything inside the clubs here and the outdoor smoking areas usually have bouncers or other staff hanging around so the smell along would get me caught, would have to go right out the club and wander about the streets to smoke any weed safely.

it sucks man!

Im for legalizing it I could care less about dealers losing money from it the way I see it with selling drugs is go hard or dont at all you can make alot more money selling other shit.I would love to be able to grow my own shit without filling out any paperwork but that will probably never happen.

Right on Dots! No offense to the dealers but It would be nice not to fear losing our house, business and child just because we grow and the Gas and Electric people notice or smell something when they come to check the meters.

No disrespect to your growing or quality of bud. if it were legal the government could not control it, tax it, or grow it steadily to meet the demand. if it were legal every1 that wishes would grow it cause seeds are easily obtained and can not, in any way, be fully confiscated to make sure that only the government would profit from the ordeal. the illegalization causes fear, and by fear the people are controlled. The govt profits more by taking out big time growers, and takin the money that the grower has stashed, the money that the grower will have to pay as a court cost, and the money the grower will have to pay for the fine. there is no opening day, and all hope for that day is in vain. yes i want it legal, because i believe that no1 should have the right to tell me what to do, or try to subdue me in any way, because i draw my own boundaries on what is right and what is wrong. and i believe that there is nothing wrong with growing a few plants, and selling it for a profit with a license to sell, but no license to grow. The only thing that i would suggest is the govt put an age limit on the drug, and still have the distributing to minors law on the substance. thats it

Cannabis is a great thing. It is amazing as a medicine and safe recreational intoxicant. I think it should be legal and freely available.

I think the need for adequate supply trumps the growers "right" to a profit.

I think it should be medical or decrimilised in every place in the world. If the governments want to make money as well... Sure your losing money, But who wants to buy dope off you if they can just go to the shop in town and have a wide range of beautiful buds to chose from. Thats my peace

I don't care if the dealers have to work week to week for the gov. to make money, And The gas and electric people turn in people all the time here and they do get drug tested, around here anyway. This is just my opinion. There is no need to attack anyone for their opinions, no one is attacking you. I wish you luck with your money problems.

any type of business you get into you will have profits and losses, u decide if you want to continue taking risks and losing, close your bid or make a lower bid your killing yourself(research bidding/contracting.
tobacco and weed are two different substances. 1 tobacco was contained and is legal because it was controlled in the far past. weed is not contained and never will be. have you seen tobacco? if they will monopolise weed, then it should be done already. everybody that works, works for the government already, how will growing weed for the government make any changes in how they get fucked by the govt? every1 still gets fucked. sounds like your growing to much and being to greedy. i dont buy bad shit i just see many others that do and complain and . unfortunately not every1 is entitled to MMJ, and all of my first post is of real situations. the only ones who are closed minded are the ones that want to make a large profit of a little bit of growing work, sounds to me like you fall into that catogory of hypocrits, get a job and live comfortably, gotta work hard for a living. by the way what is the big picture. and instead of rereading your own post, how about rephrasing them to where they dont seem so hypocritical.

all i want is the right to grow and smoke herb in the privacy of my own home. i dont care if the government sells better shit for cheap.......not my concern. i just dont want law enforcement knocking on my door because i like ganja. feel sorry for the folks who make a living off of it but it should be everyones option to grow their own without fear of retribution.
