Do You Play Music For Your Plants?

And if so what kind ?

I watched a program on PBS the other day about how plants react to music.

I'm thinking of just getting a cheap radio and putting it on a local classical channel..or easy listening. On low of course...I don't want to end up with brain damage ;)

I know the old wives take about talking to plants which does help due to expelled CO2...and we all know plants love CO2.

So right now I'm just sitting in the back room talking to my plants...telling them to grow up big and strong....and tasty...I haven't told them the bad news yet...don't want to depress them.
Of course being disabled and living alone I talk to lots of things...my plants, my cats...the gnomes that live in my closet. ( Little bastards are always stealing my weed !! )

So anybody try music in their grow room and if so..did you notice any difference ?

If you do play music don't go with classic. Go with metal, the heavier the better. Mythbusters did an experiment on classic vs metal vs control. The plant that had the metal played to it was bigger and in much better condition than the other two. Now on cannabis? I dunno. I don't think playing music will hurt.

My wifes uncle plays cricket noises for his plants in the lights off hours, and talks to them every day and they seem like nice big healthy plants.

my room has wicked acoustics so my bro practices his singing and guitar in there... seems to do the trick

it's something I've given thought to. just trying to figure out how I'd wanna set it up, and whether I have a boombox that would do the trick.

I work in the same room as my grow space.

My music plays for me all day, the girls don't get to choose! :blsmoke:
