Do you guys continue to veg after transplant into supersoil???

Hey guys I know this info is probably here somewhere but I cant seem to find any info on the stickies at the moment. My question is do you guys continue to veg after you transplant into your #10 container at all? I would assume you give the plant at least a few days to adjust to its new home before the flip, but it seems it would be a waste of nutrients to continue to veg in the #10 container, am I wrong? Also, I believe sub said he vegs in a one gallon container and then transplants directly into the #10? How are you guys that veg for 40-60 days doing this? It seems you would need to feed with liquid nutes in veg at least a few times or veg 2 weeks in the #10 container and waste some of your juice in that supersoil that could have been used for flowers. Just trying to get the whole timing and transplant thing down, thanks!

once you transplant any plant you need to give it a few days to recover i normally continue to veg mine for about a week after transplanting into the final pot

So how many days are you vegging in the 1 gal pot then?

I do a general regime of ---1 Week germination stage----Then 1 week seedling stage ------ Then pot into 6 inch pots for 2 weeks veg stage -- Then transplant into 3 gallon pots for 1 week, ---Then feed nitrogen feeds right until end of grow including flowering. This is the regime for biobizz organics nutes but I'm sure most would agree the plants need a steady but not excessive feed of nitrogen right through the grow. Flowering nutes in my case just get added right in on top of the N nutes and later in the grow any bud boosters get added right in on top of everything else. The more you veg the more and stronger bud sites/branches you end up with.

well i dont go by days i go by how big they are but i have them in 5 liter pots for about 4 weeks and they can be upto 2ft tall then into there final pot 1 more week vege then into flower

in the past i have done different size pots but found they plants got pissed off and didnt like being re potted every week or so and just go from a 2 liter to a 5 liter then into a 7,5 liter or a 10 liter


excessive nitrogen in flowering will cause to much leaf growth the plant dosent need as much nitrogen in flower as it dose veg

I admit, I probably overdo it a bit. Cloned starts go to 3 gallon with supersoil in bottom 2" of container and vegged for 6 weeks. Transplanted into 15 gal. supersoil blend in Hydrofarm "Dirt Bags" and vegged for an additional 6 weeks, then switched to flower.

Subs allows clones to establish roots in 1 gallon pots then transplants into his 10 gallon with the appropriate amount of super soil based on strain, veg till it about hip height then flower. When does it this way the plants grow healthy in veg and fade just right at the end of flower. If they do start to fade early just top dress the pot with a couple inches of super soil and continue a water only regiment, with sugars added on day 30 and day 45. Hope this helps

That does help a lot stondded thank you, now if I can just figure out why everything I water is getting cal/mg deficient I can transplant into supersoil!!!!

If u r using r/o water that may be your issue the dolomite lime and Epsom salts should help with that after transplant, hut using some powdered calmag during our next watering is prolly a good idea before u transplant.
I am also planting in my first batch of super soil very soon.

Glad I found this thread. I recently started using super soil and I run perpetual. I want to try scrog, and I was wondering how to transplant into super soil. If I'm understanding you guys correctly I can veg in final pots with super soil already in the pots? I'm looking for a way to increase yield, hope scrog does it for me. Any thoughts?

Start mine in peat then move them straight to the large containers, they still have the peat around the ball so just wait a few, in no time i have roots sticking out of my pot all the way down.

I run clones and flower in 5 gal smart pots. I was thinking about starting clones in 1 gal pots then transplanting into final pots with super soil then veg until screen is full enough to flip.
