Do you agree with Uncle Buck?

I'll say this. The thing that makes me dislike UncleBuck is his innate dishonesty.

It's really the only thing I have against him. Everything else is unimportant to me.

He will never represent the argument of his opponent accurately. It is always spun in such a way as to benefit him/his argument.

I don't claim perfection, but I try to represent my opponents as they are, not as I would have them.

it reminds me of when desertdude went on a binge calling me a "propagandist" for a while.

i finally just had to ask him to point out examples of it. he said he didn't have the time. i reminded him that he said that "almost all" of what i said was propaganda, so it shouldn't be that tough for him to post one single example.

so he broke down and gave an example. he said my claim that race was a protected class was propaganda.

then he got laughed away and hasn't been back for a while.

poor little guy.

Propaganda is them convincing you that we must lose our privacy because the self isn't capable of knowing without others when reality only exists with the perception of the self.

Just look at any argument he and I have ever had. He puts words in my mouth, and in the mouth of most others he disagrees with.

I know that isn't what you wanted. But there isn't a single post that stands out in memory.

Buck is a smart guy and knows his exaggerations cannot be too far off.

It's more of a patter one needs to look at over time.

Like, patterns on the earth you can't see from the ground, but if you care to look from up high you can see.

When he is arguing with someone who is a racist, for instance, you would likely be blind to it, since most here simply write off anyone who is racist as evil or what have you.

So when buck says someone stands for something, they may have said something related, but there is a very good chance that person has never said anything of the sort.

For instance, buck calls me the boards foremost white supremacist. You will never find a post here I made prior to my renouncing those beliefs which made him say that about me, i never said that whites were superior other races. The statements weren't there. But he used it anyway.

Buck isn't smart, he only abuses what isn't said, and uses that against you. It's rather easy. When he's called upon it, he will then make an accusation and act like keeping track of the "racists" and their individual idiosyncrasies is too hard. The victim then has to start all over. In the meantime he attacks someone else. He also has an advantage in that he's been here a while and has scouts inform him, who he then gives orders. It's rather pathetic.

I've never seen a person unleash as much hate as Bucky does.
If you are a liberal democrat he will be your friend for life.
If not, look out.
He takes notes and tries to find out everything about you to later stab you in the back and make jokes about you.

Look at his posts and prove me wrong.

and has all day to sit around and post his propaganda.

Recently you told a story of a pedophile roomate. Then, when I suggested affidavit and cops, you fell back on: not my job, just pictures (still illegal; further, 'smoke' and 'fire' ?), his right to privacy (despite you witnessing it; he gave his privacy up to you which is very suspect in my eyes). Later you proceeded to make inappropriate comments about the issue, ad nauseum.

I find it typical of certain people her. They dance around the issue. Buck's not the only one reading between the lines. Where he differs is going at it full-bore.
Is it really a leisure activity for you to do this? What do you contribute here? I see a lot of weird and wacky that, if you were to do in meat space, would see you in a lot of confrontations. Your not the only one here using anonymity to let it all hang out. It's noticed.
